I'm having issues with a couple of my x-neighbors. Harold borrowed a trailer from frank a few years back. Said trailer had expired license, so they borrowed plates off another trailer when they needed to pull it. We replaced 3 tired, a board and some lights. Every time Harold would go to return the trailer, frank would say "no, just keep it since you've put sp much money into it". When the borrowed license expired, I went to the courthouse and registered it in Harold's name.

Now, frank keeps calling wanting his trailer back. It's been setting at my son's house for a couple of years and he uses it for a hay trailer. I could pull it back to Houston with my Tahoe, but I think the deal is between Harold and frank.

Frank called to tell me that he's going to the JP to file a claim. I told him to tell Mike hey for me and make sure he understands that it is registered in Harold's name and that we are in a divorce.

It's sad to be happening, but is an example of what friendship is not. Guess I'm divorcing some neighbors too.

I'm sure this sort of thing goes on all the time. On television they makes jokes about who get this and who gets that....who gets the neighbors, who gets the friends. It's got to be hard. Hopefully your soon to be EX will handle it.

Sandy when is your divorce final?

Stuff like this just makes everything harder. I hope your EX takes care of it soon. The neighbor should not be calling YOU!!!

I agree.....the neighbor shouldn't be calling you. I would let him know that he needs to work it out with your soon-to-be ex-husband. You don't need to be in the middle of this.

I went through that years ago, with my first divorce. Friends take sides. I'm sure your good friends will stick with you.

I was very young then and it was terrible to learn that neighbor's husbands wanted to come onto me! The desperate divorcee?

This frank, makes no sense. If the trailer is registered in your ex's name, you are not at all involved by law. Let him go to court with it.

Any day now. It's going back and forth between lawyers now. I don't need those friends ... I have all of you.
