We've really enjoyed having Melissa home for the holidays, but now she has to go back to school. Seems like we haven't seen enough of her with everyone working. When I was off, she was at work and vice versa. I'm about to cry just typing this. The three vacation days I took, her boyfriend was down, which was nice. He's a very nice young man and it was good getting to see him and more importantly for my daughter, for them to get to see each other. I'm sure mothers have felt this way for thousands of years. No matter how much time we have with them, it's just not enough.

I know, she's a big girl and so am I, but it's just hard. She's our youngest. We're going to miss her so much......

I'm torn, I'm excited about getting this semester started, I'm taking some classes I'm really looking forward to, and having my boyfriend closer will be nice. But I love my folks and my sister, they're a bunch of nuts and I love being around them, and I don't wanna go back to school because I want to be near them. Not to mention I wouldn't hesitate to say that my sister is my best friend so I love being around her.

Solution: EVERYONE MOVES WITH ME!!!! Then it won't be a problem!!

But seriously, I'm gonna try to make it home more often this semester, the more I make that 2 hour drive the shorter it seems.

...aw look, now you made me cry!!!

Marilyn, I can't say that I know how you feel, but Melissa, I know exactly how you feel. I live 3 hours away from my parents and 2 sisters. I get to visit them about once a month and whenever I have to leave, I get so sad and everyone cries...I cry, my mom cries, my sisters cry, my dad doesn't cry but I know he misses me. Marilyn I am the oldest, so at least my mom has one daughter at home (the other is in college). I hate leaving my family when I go visit them, but it is always nice to get "home" and get my life started and back on a routine. Have a safe trip back to school, Melissa! Marilyn it will be easier once you start your routine on Monday.

I know, and Monday is going to be a challenge anyway. I have to fly out of Houston to Tampa, FL Monday evening, and back on Tuesday evening, and freezing rain may be in the picture. Don't look forward to driving to and from Houston in the dark in freezing rain. Will have to wait and see how the weather goes.

Also, we're probably chasing Melissa out of here right after church services and lunch tomorrow so she can make it safely back to school.

It's 72F here now and misting rain. Monday it's supposed to be 37F high, 28F low and 70% chance of rain. Nasty weather.

This is funny to hear only because my parents always chase me out after church and lunch on Sunday, too! They prefer that I don't drive home in the dark.

Have a safe trip, Marilyn!!!!!!!!!

Yep, kickin me out :p They want me back at school before nightfall cause the highway I've gotta take is pretty backcountry and I ran off the road once when I swerved to miss a deer. I know everyone says to not swerve, but it came out of no where and I was going a tad over the speed limit so it would have totaled the car and maybe killed me...didn't help that I was on the phone with Mum when it happened...she had to hear me screaming...
