Hey everyone, I had been so worried about not see Marilyn on here so I PM'd her a few times. I thought maybe she was busy with the home tour and she has, that and work and everything else, but also her husband is in the hospital. His heart rate is very high and even with the meds is having trouble getting it lower.
So if you could all join me keeping Marilyn, her husband and daughters (Lissa is one) in our prayers I know she would appreciate it. Maybe send a PM or something letting her know we have them all in our hearts. :)

Ladies, thank you all so very much for your kind thoughts and prayers. We are doing okay. Hubby is out of the woods as far as his condition being life threatening. They have his heartrate down to a safer level, but not low enough to go home. They keep increasing his meds, but he's still running between 104 and 165 beats per minute. When he went into the hospital he was at 240 bpm. He has to get below 110 to go home. Then he will continue on the meds and if he does not convert to a normal rhythm in a couple of weeks has to go back in for a stronger drug and if that does not work, they will shock his heart to try to get it to convert. What he has is called atrial fibrillation. I Googled it, and 2.2 million Americans have this condition. Some of them never convert to a normal rhythm, their rates are just controlled at a near normal level. The doctor says with the right treatment he can live a long, normal life with just a slight inconvenience. He's very healthy. His blood pressure, cholesterol and other factors all look good.
I was pretty freaked out at first, and am still very concerned since he's kinda hit a plateau and they are having trouble getting it to go lower. The doctors say there are still lots of options left, but he's getting so tired of being stuck in the hospital.
Again, thank you all so much for your concern. It means a lot that you all care!! Lissa will be home from school on Saturday, so we will all be together. We can really use her. The Parade of Homes tour begins Saturday.

I've been on here since it happened, I just kinda figured it was Mum's news to tell. Plus I've been busy with finals so I didn't really have enough time to dedicate to an entire post, sorry I didn't tell you gals sooner!!
I'll be home and my beau is coming for the weekend so he can help too, if Pops gets to go home before this weekend he'll have an EMT right there to help. This next week I won't be around too terribly much, but after that they're gonna get so much of me being around they'll get sick of me.
Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers!! I'll make sure either Mum or me keeps everyone posted!!!

Hey Marilyn, I do hope you and Lissa don't mind me posting about this and asking for prayers. I just knew the more that were praying the better and Marilyn you mean so much to me and I was here at home worrying and heart aching that you were all going through this. I'm still holding you all close to my heart in prayer and hopefully he'll be home soon with a normal heart rate.

Janet, thank you for posting. I've had so little time and been so exhausted when I am home that I just am not on here hardly at all. Hubby is much, much better. The drugs just weren't doing it so they did an electrocardiovert today. They used the paddles and shocked his heart into a normal sinus rhythm. As soon as he woke up after the procedure, he felt much better. He can breathe normally and feels like he is getting oxygen now. He slept much of the afternoon and evening. He is so very thankful for everyone's thoughts and prayers, and so am I and our family.
He has to stay on some drugs that require monitoring for a couple of more days to make sure his heart does not shift back. Early Monday afternoon he will be given a stress test, and if he tolerates it well, and they find nothing else wrong, he gets to come home!!!!
This has been quite an experience. The Parade of Homes starts tomorrow without us. I have to, or rather have the priviledge of, getting Melissa and her stuff from college in the morning. Others will be filling in for us around here.
Again, thanks to all!!!! Gotta go get some rest....:snore:

Marilyn, I'm so glad he's doing better. I hope that you can get some much needed rest this weekend after getting Lissa home. I'm sure you have some very capable help for the Parade of Homes so that is one thing you can mark off your list of things to worry about.
I'll continue to pray for you and your family and that hubby can come home Monday. Keep us informed when you can.
Marilyn I am happy that your husband is doing so much better, give him my best. As far as the tour like Janet said I am sure that you have competent people, don't worry. Just take care of your family the rest will follow suite.... :)
Marilyn, I'm so relieved that he's doing so much better.
My prayers continue for all of you.

I'm sorry!! I didn't mean to sound rude and I'm not saying it wasn't your place to tell I'm just real protective of information and only tell others if I have been given permission to and I kept forgetting to ask Mum if she wouldn't mind me posting it, it's just a personal thing of mine because so many people come to me to vent about stuff that they don't want spread around, thinking back to how busy Mum was I should have come on sooner and let yall know about it.

Oh Lissa, you were not rude at all. No way. I just love your Mother so much, even though we haven't met, that I wanted all the prayers possible for your father and family, so I had to post a prayer request. Girl, you're never rude!!!
