Even though I haven't been posting I have been logging on and reading. It is so encouraging to know you are all thinking of me and praying. I have my down moments but I am trying to be strong and trust that God can do anything. My children have been great and really stuck by me and so have all of you.

I love you all

Thanks so much,
Debbie

Thanks so much to everyone. I had an emotional morning. Just the least little thing at work started the silly little crying mode but I worked through it, got a few hugs from co-workers and pulled myself back together. I try to stay upbeat all the time but people at work tell me that's not possible-I will have my down times.
I just have to pull out of it and go on. Thanks for all the support.

Mom, I'm so sorry you are having a bad day! Did something happen between this morning when I talked to you and now? You seemed so happy this morning...

I know you are still at work, but please feel free to call me if you need to. You know I'd be there in 10 minutes. Just let me know.

Debbie, hope you are ok!! I know it's an emotional roller coaster, so dont be affraid of letting go of some emotions, it's better to let go of the steam, then keeping it bottled up.
You will ok girl, hugs, and more hugs!

I am having a lot better day today. I was a little sick this morning but feeling better now. I'm a lot better emotionally today except when someone just randomly came up to me and said " I hear you have breast cancer-my neice was only 47 and just died from that" I know it happens but I want to hear the survival stories. Just had to vent a little.

Debbie, there ARE a LOT of survivers, if you want to, have a search on the internet.
That was very insensitive of her to come up to you, and told you what she did, some people just have no clue.
You are doing pretty good, and i'm proud of you!!

UGGG Debbie, people can be SO thoughtless!
I bet she/he wanted to kick herself when she realized what she'd said! Getting a serious illness really does leave you open to all sorts of strange comments as people often don't know what to say, but feel they should acknowlege it.

I have an aunt and a friend who are survivors... 5+ yrs cancer free now and I fully expect you will be in their group. Your state of mind plays SUCH a big role and I sense in you a lot of love and strength.

I had a heart attack in my mid 40's, so have heard a few of those "WTF comments" too. I finally decided I felt bad for the people who made them... Most meant well, but were clueless and felt awful later.

Just remembering - when my Father was taken with cancer, I learned how to absolutely not hear what people said to me. I also kept to myself a lot. I went through the process with my best friend, God, who never said anything stupid to me, and the few people who I could trust to be considerate and thoughtful.

Love,

Judy

Well finally got the youngest to bed so here is the good news. The Ct and Bone scans showed no signs that the cancer had spread to any other organs or bones. This is amazing due to how long I waited to get treatment. It seems to be confined to one breast and lymph nodes. I go Oct. 3rd to have the port for chemo put in and an incisive biopsy to find out what type of chemo and if it is also hormone receptive.
I am not looking forward to chemo or losing my hair but that is a lot better than what the odds would have been if it had spread. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to everyone. I am really glad about these results. I still have chemo surgery and radiation but the odds are a lot better now. Thanks to all of you for caring and helping me through this. I can do this with God's help. The surgeon said it won't be easy but I fully hope to see you cancer free after this process.

Thanks so much for being there for me ladies. It really does help to know I have so many people pulling for me. It is amazing how many people have called or done something really nice for me. People from a church I went to six years ago have even called. My good friend that takes us to the beach every year is taking my 9-year old to Disney during fall break to get her mind of things and give me a break. She and her husband are paying for everything. She is also getting together with two other ladies and bringing a complete meal the night I have surgery to have the port put in. It just amazes me how much people are doing. It helps so much to get on here and see how much support I have here.

I love you all.

Surgery went fine. I had a rough few days recovering but the actual surgery wasn't bad at all. That is once they found a vein that didn't roll. After that the drugs caused me not to even know what I was doing. Angie says I laughed a lot. I do remember laughing at Brendon over the needles. My nurse told him she was going to get him over that or he would never make it when they decide to have a baby.
