Christmas pictures!

Finally! I can't go to sleep yet so I uploaded all my Christmas pictures for you guys :) There's going to be a lot!

So my good friend Cherelle and I have this little thing with the game of Life. Ever since we were about 12 years old we've played it almost every time we see each other! It's just kind of tradition, especially now that we only see each other maybe twice a year. So this year, she got the NEW one for Christmas, it's called Twists and Turns. So obviously she called me on boxing day to come down and play :D

4. The view from my parents' front porch. They live on the hill overlooking the town. The big orange elevator is a bit of an eyesore but the rest is pretty!

And finally... a week before I came home, there was a semi bringing a ready-to-move house to a town nearby, but the roads were really icy. The semi got about halfway up this hill and couldn't go any further. The driver put on the brakes and started sliding backwards. They had just gotten the truck out, but they don't know how to get the house out of the ditch! So we stopped by and took some pictures. Notice the 3-phase power line just a couple feet above the top of the house.. they were very lucky. Unfortunately, this guy has been waiting a couple of years for his house, and now they'll need to build a new one...

Nice pics. I can't get over the house in the ditch pictures. Im surprised they even tried to move the house with the roads being iced over. What a mess!

Thanks for the pictures, Lindsey! Layla is a little cutie!!! Your Mother's tree and decorations are really pretty! It looks like you had a really good Christmas by all the presents under the tree!!!! Cherelle must be a very special friend to you since you've been friends for so long!!!

As for the house in the ditch, I can't believe that any truck driver would have tried to take it up such a steep hill that is snow covered!!!! Even with it not being snow covered it would have been quite a feat to have gotten it up the hill!!!!

What great pictures Lindsey. Layla is a real cutiepie for sure. The house pictures are amazing. I someone loses their job over this one..huh?

I don't think they realized the roads were that icy. The house was being moved from about 2 hours away I think, and just on grid roads so it's pretty tough to tell. The housing market here is booming, so this guy is now going to have to wait at least another 2 years for a new house!
I was so surprised by the presents under the tree because my parents had said we were just getting money for Christmas this year, which was completely fine by me! They didn't even ask us what we wanted! None of the gifts were really very expensive so it worked out okay and we still got our money, but still had a few gifts to open on Christmas morning :)
And Cherelle is a very good friend of mine. I moved to that town when I was 6 years old, and my parents told my brother and I to go out and make some friends so we hopped on our bikes and Cherelle was the first person we met! The only fight we ever had was when we were 13, and it lasted one hour lol! We now live about 5 hours apart, but she's one of the few people from back home that I still talk to.

Love your pics. Is that outfit Layla has on crocheted? I'm thinking of making some for my Yorkies. Of course, at the rate I"m going it may get done next year!

It's not crocheted but that's a great idea! My grandma crochets, I should see if she would like to make her something!
