I'm going to have to change my signature... the hot flashes have quit!
I decided to try Black Cohosh tablets and they've worked wonderfully for me!
So I wanted to share in case anyone else is going through this... It's a SUPER relief to be rid of them and NO side affects from it!

$5.79 for a one month supply... WELL worth it!

Okay now...what the heck is this stuff and where would I get it if I decide to?

I use Premarin (the lowest dose) and mostly for the hot flashes. Since I had my hysterectomy, I can't be without the hormones or the hotlfashes come back. The hormones really are not the best things to take, ya know.

Janet, you will find it in the pharmacy vitamin and supplements isle or in WalMArt... it's very common. Having had a heart attack a few years ago I can't take hormones so have just been suffering it out until I got this. I have quite a few allergies and often have nasty side affects from different meds and have been on this over a month and all it's done is stop the hot flashes. I love it!

Wow!! I"m glad that you found something that worked for you! I think that vitamin E is good for something too but I can't remember what. So I guess that you could suppose that it's not for memory!!!! LOL

Vitamin E is good for the heart, skin and hair. It's also good to promote healing such as in cases of thrush and works as a stool softner. LOL

I'm on IT too.

I think that it's suppose to boost your immune system too. I know that I don't "catch" as many colds and flu since I started taking it. I thought that it was good for hot flashes to but I guess not, since you're already taking it!!

Thank Janet. I know how miserable and frustrating hot flashes are, and if something works we might as well spread the word!

They really are awful. I sweat bad enough without having hot flashes to deal with.

When I have one I don't sweat, I just get hot real quick and then it's over. It doesn't last very long at all.

Mine would feel like a rush of warmth and then my forehead would get sweaty. I don't have them with the Premarin, but I'd rather not take a hormone if I don't have to. So I really want to try those Black Cohosh tablets Tink is recommending. I want to check with my Dr. first though.

For those who didn't know, MICHELLE (emmsmom) and I go WAY back... She's been a great friend to me for about 8 yrs. She's the one who found and invited me to 4WT.
I owe her BIG time for that one.
