View Full Version : I'm getting there...
So far, I've lost 6.8 pounds. My goal was to lose 10 pounds, but I may keep it up till I go back to my old goal weight of 127. That was about 5 years ago, but it could happen.
I'm very pleased. I remember how unhappy I was when I started this, but I got used to it.
My menu is laughable, and never changes because if it ain't broken, don't fix it!
Breakfast - Instant oatmeal/soy milk, 1 tablespoon peanut butter and coffee.
Lunch - 1/2 fat free muffin and a fruit, and coffee
Dinner - A portion of meat or chicken and as many veggies as I can
fit on my plate. One glass diet ginger ale. I buy fresh veggies every week and steam them in the microwave. They are delicious.
Snacks - 2 WW chocolate/caramel candy bars - they're tiny, but hey, they are chocolate! One bag WW pretzel chips.
Then I have something else - like 1/2 muffin or something.
Every 3rd week - A cheesburger and fries.

Way to go Judy!!! I'm so proud of you!! I keep a bag of the Birds eye frozen veggies that you steam in the bag when I don't feel like cleaning the fresh ones. They are just as good as fresh, trust me on this!!!
I like the Hostess mini cupcakes too. You get 3 little cup cakes in a package and it's only 1 point. It's the ones that come in the 100 calorie box, I think there are 6-8 in a box. LOVE them!!
And when I want something crunchy I like the 100 calorie packages of cheese nips. I eat one at a time and dont' eat another one till the first is gone. I LOVE them too...LOl
Judy I am proud of you :) keep up the good work. You will achieve your goal weight. I find that being repetitious is a good thing.

Ya know, I bet those cheese nips are a lot cheaper than the WW pretzeel chips. The chocolate I have to have!
Aren't those ready made steamed veggies delicious? They're so fresh, but they cost about $3.89 for one bag here. Food is just so expensive! Cut up fresh veggies are about $3.99!

Great JOb! Loosing weight is never easy. I am a firm believer that you have to truly want to loose weight in order to make it work. I agree with you on the menu. As long as it is working for you then stick with it!

You're doing so great Judy!! Just keep checking out the 100 calorie snacks if you're a snack person. You'll really be surprised at how few points they have, most 1 or 2. I love it!!

I like how you allow yourself the treat of a burger and fries every third week. It isn't enough to throw you off your goals, but you aren't depriving yourself of everything either. I have lost ten pounds so far. Maybe I'll fit back in those skinny jeans someday.

We're on so many different weight loss programs, it's hard to keep track.

You're very welcome and no, i'm not on any plan. I actually haven't changed anything. i eat once a day ... I know it's unhealthy, but I forget. I gained thirty pounds with no changes and now i've lost ten hopefully the loosing part keeps going.
