This was taken June 12th at his brothers surprise retirement antique train ride, 5 days before his 53 birthday.

What a sweetheart you are for sharing those. What great pictures. You know you're very very pretty young lady!! You were a cute baby too. I so glad you're here!

I wish I had some great pictures of me and my dad, but I don't. He passed in 1973 when I was 18 years old.

What special pictures!! Make sure that you take plenty of pictures with your Mom and Dad. You'll never regret it.

Like Janet, I don't have very many pictures of me and my Dad and he just passed away a couple of years ago. He would never come to family gatherings because of my Mom or any other excuse he could think up so he was never around when the cameras were out.

Thank you girls :o I am sorry to hear about your fathers :(
I am trying to make the best of the time I am blessed with him. I can't wait for him to walk me down the isle! I know I am going to lose it when we dance to "I loved her first"

We've always been close. Recently had some health scares with him, and he is so stubborn I have finally given up on the preaching and decided to appreciate the time I have with him and accept that he's doing this on his terms. His dad passed when he was 55 of a massive heart attack right in front of him in the family room, my dad was only 16. Every year he gets closer to my grand fathers age when he passed, I get more nervous...
He knows I am here to support him and help him in any way if and when he is ready to make that lifestyle change

I love that song!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myO2e5Td3bg

It's best not to preach...he knows what he needs to do. Just love him...and make sure he has no doubt.

Yeah, I had never heard it. He picked it out :)
I lost it the first time I heard it, BY MYSELF. In the comfort of my living room!

Will definitely need waterproof mascara, visine and a travel pack of tissues. Might even want to sneak a few tylenol into my little clutch that day...

The two pictures are so sweet. How nice that yoiu two are so close. You're right - enjoy him just as he is.

That song definitely will make you cry at the wedding. It's so touching.

How wonderful! I lost my dad when I was 25 and he never got to see me get married. Cherish him!

That will be a great song for your father/daughter dance. If you listen to it several times before you have the wedding you'll be a little bit more used to it and it will be easier not to cry.
