I finally got the courage to dye my hair! I've been wanting a change so I decided to go for a darker brown than my natural color. The new color has a slight red tint in the light too. I'm really liking it so far.

Mom helped me dye it and Crystal (my 10 year old sister) took the photographs, both before and after.

What do you think? (My hair is really gross in the first pic because the instructions said not to wash your hair after 24 from when you're going to dye it.)

Before
3768

After
3769

Thanks guys! I was so excited that it turned out alright. I was really nervous about doing it, but now I'm glad I did. :)

It does look great.....I'm chicken when it comes to hair color. I'm 47 and have never dyed my hair. I've done some major hair styles but no color. But the gray is starting to come in pretty well now. I may have to rethink this.
Great look for you.

To be quite honest Angie...with these pictures...I can't tell a whole lot of difference exept in the after photo, it looks warmer..richer. I think you look great in both pictures and the avatar is a keeper! Ya can't go by me though....I get my eyes tested later this month...way too much time on the computer.

It isn't a whole lot different. Just a little darker and like you said warmer. I think that's what I like about it. It's close to my original color but more rich and vibrant. The red tint really comes out in the sunglight though! :D

I think that it looks great!! The color looks really nice on you and I think that it was a smart idea to go close to what color you already had. You're such a beautiful girl anyway, inside and out!!!

Thanks again everyone! You guys are always so encouraging. One of the many reasons I love this site!! :D

Diana, I was trying to enhance my natural color, feel different, but not go crazy with it. I think I found a color that really helped me do all that. I'm really thinking I might use this color again...

I think it's just enough of a change to bring some highlights to your eyes yet still looks natural

Oh no, poor Megan! It would be so awful to misunderstand something like that! I'm glad she liked it though.

By the way, that reminds me of a funny story. Brendon and I used to volunteer for Coalition for Kids, an after school care program for at risk elementary school students. They all thought it was hilarious that we were married--the ones who actually believed us did anyway. Well, Brendon was at school picking Crystal up once a few months after we stopped going. He had to go to the Coalition room because Crystal was there for some reason and one of the little boys came up wide eyed and said to Brendon with complete shock in his voice, "Where's your wife? Did she DIE?" I did almost die laughing when he told me. LOL

I really love your hair. It's just pervect for your face, and your blue eyes really show up. You're very beautiful. You have an angelic look, but there's some spice in those baby blues!
