Last night we had a giant thunderstorm. I don't remember one that intense in a long time. There was thunder and lighntning about every 30 seconds, and the whole house was shaking. Layla isn't usually bothered by storms, but last night she ran out of my room and I could hear her crying. I got up to search for her, and she was under the couch in the basement! Poor baby!
Anyways, today was a nice warm sunny day. I actually spent most of it outside in the back yard with a book. I came in to watch some tv, and within about 10 minutes the nice sunny day turned into this:

<object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/47jTs8j2olo"> </param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/47jTs8j2olo" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>

That's the view from my front porch. Hail and everything! Our back alley looks like a river. Both of these storms have been totally unpredicted by the weather stations. They just came fast and out of nowhere!

The weather has definitely been fickle this year! I cringe to thnk how much snow we're going to get this winter if this continues!

I agree!
About 30 minutes after I took that video, the skies were sunny again. Now it's completely calm outside and there's a beautiful sunset. Mother nature is acting very strange!

What a pretty block, with all the trees. I wouldn't mind some rain. We're having a heat wave.

The thing I love about this city is how green it is :) I live in an older area so all the trees lining the streets are huge, and they create a canopy over all the streets here.
Today is back to being sweltering hot. Layla and I were just hanging out in the back yard but I had to bring her in because she was panting so much she just wasn't enjoying it at all!

It's been really hot and humid here too. I don't like it much when the humidity goes beserk...lol. I'm trying to remember not to complain, because winter will be here soon enough.

It's been really dry here this summer. We've had a few showers, but not nearly enough. Our water bill will be the next one I'll be on here complaining about ;) if it doesn't start raining a little!!!

The farmers are still busy harvesting though, so guess it needs to hold off for another couple of weeks. I think most of the corn and milo are cut and stored, not sure about the other crops.

I thought that it looked like you live on a very pretty street too. The weather has been funny here too. With my husband farming it was so aggravating because it was too wet to get any field work done but we did have a nice cool spring. Now we've turned so hot and humid that you can't hardly stand to be outside. Yuck!
