I am supposed to go look at a couple of black Lab dams this afternoon. They belong to a co-worker of Shannon's and were left in his care when his brother moved. He wants very badly to find them a home and so he's willing to cut me a great deal if I'll take the pair of them.

I have only 2 dams old enough to breed right now, and 24 people on my waiting list again for upcoming litters. I'm a bit hesitant to get 2 more new dogs at the same time, but if I'm to keep up with demand, I need at least one more. I already have 4 dams, but Jessie can't breed till next spring, and Gypsy is only 4 months old, so will have to wait even longer. What's funny is that I have 2 chocolate, 2 yellow and if I get these today, 2 black. That would cover all the accepted Lab colors.

Looks like Chip's going to be one VERY busy boy.
My fingers are crossed that they're the quality I need.

I think that it will definitely pay off in the end to make good choices for your breeding program. I'm sure that you made the right choice and you'll have excellent pups to show for it.
