I have not been feeling well for awhile... actually if I go back to when it first started it was probably a few weeks ago just getting random dizzy spells and feeling exhausted all the time. Yesterday when I got to work in the morning I felt terrible... sore throat, heavy chest, ringing ears, and dizziness. I stuck it out through the day, got home, and slept for a couple of hours. I stayed in my room all night and went to sleep early.
I talked to my dad about it last night, and I hate how emotional I get when I'm sick! I was just trying to describe how I feel and I almost CRIED! Anyways, he thought maybe it's just stress from work and my cousin's wedding and my party last weekend and all this stuff that's been going on lately. He told me don't take work so seriously (soooo many projects hitting their deadline right away, and people always want drafting at the last minute, and I'm currently the ONLY drafter). He said I shouldn't work myself sick.
Anyways, this morning I decided to call in sick. I slept in an extra 3 hours, and I just got up. I'm not actually feeling so terribly bad right now. My ears are still ringing and I'm freezing, but my mind is more clear than it was yesterday.
I'm trying to decide whether I should go back this afternoon, or just enjoy a day free of stress. I could make a doctor's appointment (finding a new doctor), a grooming appointment for Layla, things I've been meaning to do for awhile. But everything I put off today I will have to do at work tomorrow and have an even tighter deadline. On the other hand, I can be really stressed tomorrow because it's just one day and then the weeend.....

Do you have allergies, Lindsey? I know that right now in our area they're really bad. Or, like you said, it could be from stress. I'm sure that missing a day of work will do you some good. Make sure that this weekend you get caught up on your sleep and rest and see it you feel better next week.

My dad mentioned that too, and that could be the culprit. I have allergies on and off. Some years I'll get them bad, other years not at all.
Another girl at work yesterday was complaining about how exhausted she was, and she was going home early because of it. Another guy called in sick yesterday too. Maybe it's just affecting us all.

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well - I wonder if a little bug could be going around your office.

I certainly hope so. Every day maybe a quarter of them could stay home sick, and lighten my workload a bit LOL

I don't think a bug would last for a few weeks. Have you checked your blood pressure? That will make you dizzie and ringing in the ears, tired, etc.
Are you taking vitamins?
Hope nothing is wrong, stress can really do a number on a body.
Take care.

Lindsey, I don't know what to suggest except get plenty of rest, eat good and like someone else mentioned take a good vitamin. It does sound like your work is very stressful, so try to find some good destressing exercises, breathing exercises or something that can help when you need it to.

I don't take vitamins but I'm SUPPOSED to. A doctor suggested some for me back when I was always passing out and having kidney troubles. I took them for a couple of years and then just kept forgetting and I haven't really taken any since. One was vitamin B, and I think the other was magnesium something but I can't really remember. I think I should get back into it.
I haven't checked my blood pressure, but I know that every time I've ever had it checked it's always on the low side. I just generally have low blood pressure and low blood sugar. I try to eat 6 times a day to keep my sugar up (3 meals plus 3 snacks between meals). I have passed out since I was 6 years old, and the only doctor that actually looked into it (besides saying I need to eat more, and asking if I have an eating disorder ) told me that I have a very touchy system, and if something goes a little out of the "comfort zone" my blood pressure plummets and I'm out. I have to lay down to get blood taken, I can't stand in one spot for much length of time, I can't get a little too hot... really almost anything can make me faint.
I've been doing a lot of resting today and I already feel so much better. I'm still tired but I feel ready to go into work tomorrow. I really think I just needed this day for myself :)

Oh my gosh, apparently the message didn't get around yesterday that I was sick. I've been working on this huge expansion project at a site out of town, and our guy who is managing the site called yesterday and got put through to my phone and left a message saying he needed some information because they were laying out building piles at 8 this morning!!!!!!!!!!! So I got the message at like 8:10 this morning. Now I feel terrible! :(
