Oh my...I don't know whether to be happy or sad or what!!!! The x-rays show that Emilee is going to have 6 puppies.

Her previous litters had 5, with one puppy in each passing withing 24 hours. I am soooooo nervous this time. I've not been nervous with any of our litters, just excited.

Her first due date is Thrusday, October 9th. Please keep her in your prayers for an easy whelping.

Oh wow.....6

I was sooo excited to open this thread!!!!! Wow!!! Six!!!! That's a lot of little puppies for a yorkie! I'm sure that Emily will do fine and I know that you'll be with her all the way!

I think my tiny Zoe was from a litter of 7. Two of them were tiny's. She's 3 years old and she weighed 3.6 lbs on Monday when we visited the vet.

Maybe you will have some tiny's in this litter.

Sincerely hope that all goes very, very well!!

They have had tinies in previous litters, but one is also around 6 lbs. So between Emilee's size (6.0 lbs) and Joey's size (3 lbs 8 ozs) they come in a variety of sizes.

At the Vet yesterday, Emilee only gained to 7.8 lbs. I don't think that is very much for 6 puppies. I'm just worried they will be really tiny. In her previous two litters, the babies were born weighing from 2.1 ozs to 4.8 ozs. They are very small to start.

Oh, I wish I were there!!! I've never seen Yorkie puppies born!!! It would be so exciting. I wish I could get one too! But our two boys are all we can handle now! If I could, I'd drive right up there and pick him/her up!!!

I'd like another one, too, and it would have to be a tiny, but, right now I'm very frustrated with the two we have. Sometimes they do really good and potty outside as they should. For some reason, here lately, they are peeing and pooping in the house!!! I'm sorry, but my home is not their potty.
Sorry, off topic!!!!

Janet, sure hope you have 6 very healthy little ones, and that Emilee has a very easy time!!!

Thanks all. Emilee has never had any problems with delivery. I mean it doesn't take her very long and she doesn't even act like it bothers her at all. Just a push or two and they are out. I just hope this one goes as well. I have everything ready except for purchasing some yogurt for the whelping pudding that I will make on Wednesday.

I just want them all to make it this time.

Oh my, that's a lot of babies.
On YT, someone posted pictures of the births, it was amazing. I had never seen one before.
Pray that she has no problems.

If all goes well, I'm planning on taking pictures. I had taken some before, but they didn't turn out well. I'm going to try to take pictures and video, but we'll see. She comes first....my photography skills come last. It's getting closer.......

What day is it that Emilee's due. I've forgotten. And what is whelping pudding?

Emilee's first due date is the 9th, her second is the 10th.

Whelping pudding is a mixture of water, Knox Gelatin, evap. milk, vanilla yogurt, egg yolks, karo syrup that is mixed together. It is to help bring in the milk, but it also gives them energy. I've only used it one time, but it was quite awhile ago. I thought if she is having six, that she might need the extra nutrition.

If I start driving tomorrow, I'll be at your house in plenty of time. If only!
I would love to help you and Emily with the birthing.

I'll be praying for sure.

I wish you could be here too! Might make Emilee a little nervous having strangers (to her) in the house while she's having her babies, but I could sure use the company.
