Diana's thread about "At Dawn" reminded me that there is a book about my home town area. I really enjoy reading about things that are personally interesting.

The Worst Hard Time by Timothy Egan is the untold story of those who survived the great American dust bowl. My mom lived through the dust bowl and can really relate to the stories. There are many people in the book who lived or still live in my area. It is a great read for anyone who was touched by the dust bowl or knows someone who was.

Diana, thanks so much for reminding me of this!

That sounds like a very interesting book, Gayle. Can it still be bought?

I clicked on the little "more" sign next to the description and you could read part of the book!! Then it had the index where you could see the names of people and other things that were in the book. It looks like a very historical book!!! Very interesting!! Thanks, Gayle!
