He has a little copucion monkey that is so smart, had him for years. He was trained in the circus business and when the owner died Rod bought him.
His name is Bobby, lives on Rod's farm and has escaped several times but they always catch him. He can play baseball, never misses a pitch, gives you 5, hugs, he is so cute. Everybody knows Rod including the sheriff's department because of the size of his farm and animals escaping, etc. Well, last Wed. morning when he arrived there, the monkey was gone and the 3 locks on his cage were gone, someone stole him. For 3 days, he got calls from people and the deputies of sightings but he was traumatized and would not come to Rod.
They saw him sitting on a fence and tried offering him Cheetozs, (his favorite treat), and didn't know the fence was electrical so Bobby got zapped and off he went again. This area he was running in was probably 6 miles or so.
Sat. morning we got a call and he went over and sat a trap with a trap door and put cheetozs in there and he went for it. When he got to his home, he laid on top of his house and hugged it.
Needless to say, Rod and Bobby are very happy.
Hope I didn't bore you.:o

Donna, I had no idea you had a monkey, you never mentioned it. I remember in grade school, our crossing guard had a little tiny monkey. Once in a while she would let me and a neighbor girl come in and see it. I remember back then how bad I wanted one...lol....typical kid.

Have any pictures?

This is not Bobby but another one that we had, Willie. He wrapped string around his toes and is just home from the Vet because they had to put him to sleep to cut the strings off. They are just like children.

That's a different pet to have!!! You're very lucky that he was still in the area so you could catch him! I'm glad that he's home all safe and sound!!

Glen knows a guy here in our town that he and his wife don't have any children but they have 5 monkeys. If you ask to see them he takes it as an insult because he considers them his children and he compares it to the fact that we wouldn't want people parading through our home to look at our children. He has some that are real agressive and he has bites and marks to prove it. They're a very strange family.

How many do you have? The little one is so cute laying there in Daddy's arms.

We just have one now. He sold the other two.
Bobby has no teeth so he can't bite. The original owners had them removed because he was in the circus. I fix him a big plate of soft food every morning. He loves spaghetti and peanut butter and honey sandwiches.
