Mom Is Coming Home

This coming Sunday my mother will be home from Florida. I am so ready to see her and hug her. I really was afraid she might not make it home this time. Down in Florida her health has been great and she has only been to the Dr. twice, both just for check-ups. She says she's feeling really good so I just hope that it continues that way once she is home.

My sister-in-law flew down today to help her get things ready and then will drive back with her.

I've really been needing my Mom lately. I'm just getting more and more anxious for her to get home.

I know you will be so glad to see her! I'm happy that she is on her way! How long does it take them to drive up from Florida?

They usually leave about 6:00 Saturday morning...stop somewhere to spend the night and then they get home usually between 3 and 5 PM Sunday.

That's wonderful that she has done so well there. You were so worried when she left. So hope she stays healthy when she gets home!! and happy for you that she is returning!!

I can't believe that it's time for your Mom to come home!! I'm so glad to hear that her health has been good because I know how worried you were about her going down. I'm sure that you're ready to see her too! Tell your Mom I said hello and give her a hug from me. I so enjoyed meeting her when I was there!

I'm so glad you get to see your mom again soon!! I lost my mom 3 years ago, and I would give just about anything to see her again. There is nothing in this world that can replace being hugged by you mom:)

You're right Betsi. Mom I didn't get along for the longest time. Oh I mean, we weren't estranged or anything like that, but my mother is very demanding at times and it just drains my brother and I. We started 'tolerating' each other better this past year. We spent a lot of tme together running to drs. and hospitals.

I use to say I loved my Mom, but didn't like her very much....now I can say that most of the time....lol...I like her too.

I'll be glad when she gets home.

I'm glad that you are getting along better with your mom. Some people are just very demanding and hard to handle on a daily basis.

My mom was my very best friend all of my life. She was funny and encouraging and sweet to the end. She had me when she was 40 (I have 3 older brothers) but I never knew she was old..she had young thoughts;)

Janet, did your Mom make it home all safe and sound?

Yes Diana...she made it home just fine. She looks really good too. She didn't color her hair the whole time she was in Florida. I kept telling her she should go natural, but she wouldn't do it. Her hair was the first thing I noticed...it's a really pretty white. I love it and told her so. She was so happy that I liked it and told me worried that I wouldn't. I'll try to get a picture taken of her soon.

I just had my hair colored a week or so ago, so I'm thinking....I just may go ahead and let mine go white too over the summer and see what it looks like. Maybe....lol

It sounds like your Mom was feeling really well in Florida! That's great!!! I'm sure that you're very happy to have her home! I know that you get fustrated with her but I also know that things have gotten much better between the two of you.

I think that you're a very lovely lady and that you'll still be lovely no matter what color your hair is!!
