View Full Version : Going away for the week
Tomorrow night I check into my hotel for my week of training.
So I probably won't have computer access till the weekend when I come home.
I wish right now that I had a laptop, but I guess I'll have to find other things to keep me entertained. lol
Have a good week all!

Oh, you're going to be missed!!! Take notes everyday so you won't forget to tell us something...LOL Maybe you can find a library close by and use one of their computers. Most have them now I think. That way you can let us know how the training is going. Good luck and learn alot!!!:)

I hope your week away goes great....Let us all know how it went. ;)
HI ladies!
I survived the week. LOL
I honestly had a much harder time of the training than I'd expected. Most of the others in the class had experience before coming, so I was at an immediate disadvantage. I'm just going to have to study the material to catch up.
I really missed being able to come in here and talk with you all!
I was able to talk with my manager about how things had gone and he agreed to let me postpone the 3rd week of training until I am able to practice and feel more comfortable with the stuff I'm learning these first 2 weeks. So that's a big weight off me. The 3rd week topic is above and beyond what my position is normally expected to do anyway, so I don't feel real bad about not going for it right away.
I did make a new friend there who I went out for dinner with and had some fun talks with. She's my age and was a really nice lady to hang out with, so that helped pass the time.
I go back this afternoon and should be coming home on Thursday night. The hotel is decent, there are a lot of different places to shop and eat, so I just need to learn as much as I can and try not to get frustrated with myself over my inexperience.

Everytime I got on here today I checked to see if you were back on yet...soon as I get off, then you show up. lolol...... Glad your first week went fine and that you've got a new friend to help the time pass. Also glad that you don't have to do the third week.....that's a lot of training. Hope this week goes fast for you too and that you are ready to start that new position. Sorry I missed you today....:)
Woooooooooooohooooooooooo I'm home, in my jammies and at my puter... ahhhhhh relaxation time. ;)
Amazingly, this week was easier than last. I was in a deposits class with personal bankers, so figured it would be a bit more uptight than the teller group was... heck no! Those people were FUN!
I also got an upgraded hotel room this week for some reason, so had a 3 person jacuzzi, a microwave, refrig, my own little seating area, and so on IN my room. I enjoyed that!
I got to meet up with a lady I've known online for several years but had never met face to face. SHe lives near where I was training, so last night we got together for dinner and had a nice visit.
I find opening deposit accounts easier than the basic teller duties for some reason. So now I will have to try to convince all my customers to open savings, cds, money market accounts and so on... LOL
I missed you all. I have to work tomorrow at the bank, and maybe sat am too, but I will definitely be online this weekend to "get my fix".

Glad you're back Tink and glad you enjoyed this past week so much.
I think it's great that you were able to meet up with a friend and enjoy some time together. I really enjoyed the Yorkie Meet-up we had for Indiana back in May. It was so nice to see and talk in person with people I've chatted with through YT.
Now I guess we all know who to come to for those important banking questions....
