Hi Girls,
I've not been on here in a while but to much goin on at home. So i get on facebook at work. Which i should not do but do anyway.
Hubby has been out of work for 6 mos. It's driving me crazy. Anyway.
He had an interview on Tuesday of this week. They told him they wouldn't know anything for 4 to 6 wks. GIve me a break. I guess I just don't understand.
He's really interested in the job. It's right up his line of work. It would be a big
help if he got it. So we just sit and wait. Like we've been doing for the last 6 mos. What's another month and a half. Sorry. Didn't mean to vent.
Then we also found out that he has Type 2 diabetes. Knock us down again when we are trying to get up. Our daughters car is in the shop, So that leaves us with just one vehicle. I keep praying and I know there are lots of other people that are alot worse off than us. I just needed to type. Thanks for reading.
Hoping prayers will help.

Oh Linda,
I'm so sorry you are going through this. I know it is just the pits. I sure hope the job comes through, even if it is 4-6 weeks from now. That would make you all feel so much better. I do understand though. My hubby woke up one morning with severe heart problems, such that he never worked a day after that. It was such a shock and it took us about 8 months to get his disability and medical retirement approved - so I truly understand the financial hardship.
Yes, of course there are others worse off than you - but what are friends for if you can't blow off some steam. It's good to vent to people who will understand. The times have changed, and even if the economy improves (which it will eventually) I don't think we'll ever be quite the same. This is not as bad as the great depression, but it surely has affected our lives in very profound ways!
I wish you didn't have to go through all of this - I hope you get some good new soon! Please tell your hubby to take his diabetes medicine (if he is prescribed medicine) and if not, then he MUST follow the diet they gave him. He will have bad bad consequences if he doesn't control his blood sugar!
Take care and come back more often!

Linda....I wish you didn't have to go through all this. I know how stressful it can be. We're going through a stressful time too. It will get better....at least that is what I'm telling myself.

Thanks girls, Hubby goes this Thursday to see a dietian(sp) at the hospital.
I'm sure that will be an eye opener for him. He does not want me to go with him.
So i will give him his space. But I will make sure he tells me everything too.
Job search is still few and far between. Thank you all for being here for me.
Your all a special group of women. God bless you all.
:)

Linda....if I know Gary....the reason he doesn't want you to go with him is so you won't know what to enforce....LOL. You know how these men are? What we don't know...we can't rag on them.
I really hope he can find something soon. Is he willing to take anything as long as there is more than unemployment coming in? Is he able to draw unemployment? You're in my prayers too my friend.

You really should go with your husband. I went with Glen and I learned what to eat and stay away from. Controling diabetes is important for all parts of your body.
Doesn't hubby know you can just find out diabetic diets by googling? Men are babies! But, of course I will be praying for him to find a job and for his health.
