For the last couple of days it's been pretty damp. Mostly light showers and mist. I love those kinds of days in the fall and it's bringing some cooler temps with it. I think tomorrow we are suppose to have a bit of the same. It all makes me feel so mellow and laid back. I love snuggling with a blanket or throw and getting on the computer or watching TV.

I'm feeling a little nostalgic too for some reason. Does the change of season every affect you all like that?

Yes Janet, especially coming out of a long hot dry summer - these cool temps and misty rain make me feel very mellow and happy. I can imagine that you might feel like that when we come out of winter and the sun warms up everything!

I really love cloudy rainy days. I don't mind a whole lot of them in a row either. I know that I heard some people complaining that they were tired of the rain and clouds in Texas. Not me! It could stay this way for a while longer before I'd get tired of it. I don't like the hot sun beaming down on my skin, so I always love cloudy days. Of course, I'm sure I wouldn't love them if it were this way everyday.

I love snuggling under a warm blanket, munching popcorn, and watching TV when it is cool and rainy!

It is rainy and dreary here in Ky today too, has been for the last few days. It makes me feel lazy. It looks like it is set in for the day too, I'm just gonna sit back and relax and enjoy my inside day in front of the computer and the TV.

No rain or dreariness here in Texas today. We are having one of our spectacularly gorgeous days. And with over 6 inches of rain in the past couple of weeks, everything looks green and fresh with lots of fall flowers blooming all over the place. It is really pretty today. I love rainy dreary weather, but then one of these days is pretty darned nice too! :)

My house has been too messy to feel very mellow!! In case you haven't figured it out yet, I'm not the best housekeeper. If I try to do any project the whole house suffers for it!! I have a counter in the kitchen that catches everything and it doesn't help that that's the place where everything is moved to off of the bar!! I'd love to feel mellow, but I can't say that I'm enjoying this weather or anything else. I do have the living room re-arranged. The painting is almost done and the part I have left isn't where the furniture is. I just have to get a gallon of paint to get it finished. I worked on the dining room and moved everything into the kitchen!! It's coming along.....it really is!!!

Actually, today I watched Karlie and we went to garage sales. Then we went back to Dae Lynn's house and cleaned Karlie's room and did a LOT of laundry!!

I so understand Diana!
I know exactly what needs to be done and how to do it.. it's finding the motivation to do it!

I am the world's best procastinator I swear. I sit here thinking about doing this and finishing that.. and continue to sit.

Having company is my best motivator. It is amazing what I can do in a short time when I feel I have to. :)

It was pretty dreary this morning too, but I loved it. I was going to clean my carpets today, but I did so much other odd and ends that tomorrow I will be able to get it done. The first dog to pee or poo on it will wish they hadn't.....LOL. They'll be confined to the kitchen until the carpet dries. I think it's suppose to be decent but cool tomorrow so I can have the windows open with a fan blowing over the carpet....should dry fairly quickly.

I also love a rainy day. I love to curl up on the couch with the dogs, and watch TV.

I have some cleaning up to do, rearranging cabinets, closets, etc., but I just do not feel like it. I usually wait until I just get up and do it. It's good living alone in that sense. Nobody cares if it never gets done!

I understand you completely, Shada!!!! If company's coming things get shoved in drawers and closets so fast that your head will spin!!! We think alike, GF!!!

OK, can I join the "company's coming" motivation club. I can look at something for weeks, but if company is coming, I can clean it up in an hour!

I want in that club too Gayle. Wonder why this is? We keep putting it off, phone rings, someone's coming over and we are like cleaning machines!!

We really do care what people think! We don't want them thinking we are lousy housekeepers.

Ok, I just found out this morning that I may have company for the weekend!! A cousin's wife and daughter that we're close to may be coming for Homecoming. Also, several aunts and uncles are coming too so they'll probably be here some time during the day since Mom lives out of town. The pressure is on so I'm going to be getting everything thrown out of sight!!!! Glen will be very happy!! He doesn't like it when I take my time and do things slowly!!!

My grandmother instilled in us that we should keep our house clean enough for Jesus to come visit! Therefore, I'm more of a constant cleaner, but am more lax lately. I do catch myself saying, "Pick that ..... up. You never know when Jesus might come." It was kind of like making sure you had on clean underwear, in case you're in an accident. Could that possibly be what developed my OCD personality?

I think that Jesus laughs all the time!! Look at all the dumb things we do!!! If you don't think so then just watch "Funniest Home Videos"!!! Only thing is is that He can see all the really good ones that don't get captured on video!!!!

I agree Diana! I think that if Jesus came to visit, I would make him a good cup of coffee, and we could just sit at the kitchen table and have a wonderful visit. He already knows my house need a good cleaning up!

I would definitely want to be wearing clean clothes though!
