Baby Dean is here.........

Dae Lynn went to the hospital on Friday morning to be induced. The doctor was concerned about the baby not dropping and the fact that she was going on vacation next week. Dae wasn't progressing too well but the doctor accidentally broke her water while she was checking her so........everything had to go ahead!!! After Dae had the epidural her blood pressure dropped and later on the baby's heart rate started dropping so the decision to do a c-section was decided. Dean Lukas made his appearance about 9:00 pm. He weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz. and was 22 inches long. He has blond hair and a dimple in his chin.....just like his sister, Karlie!!! When Karlie saw her baby brother through the window her mouth just went open with astonishment!!! She was glued to the window the whole time!!! Dae Lynn came through the sugery very well, but very tired. Today when we saw her she looked so much better!!! We're so excited that he's finally here!! I've already started getting my "Grandma time" with the little guy!!! My motto is....to start spoiling early!!!!

Oh....and after Dean was born it was discovered that his cord had a knot it and it was also wrapped around his neck. There would have been difficulty in a vaginal birth with those problems and she probably would have had to have an emergency c-section. God was really looking out for them!!!

Diana I saw these pics on FB and I'm just so thrilled for Dae Lynn and the family. He's a big boy isn't he and so precious!!! Congratulations Grandma!!! I just love the picture of you with Dean and Glenn with Dean. Such proud grandparents!!

Congratulations to all!!!! He's such a cutie!!! So glad that all went well and the delivery, thought c-section, went well. Both of mine were c-section and makes no difference to them. Healthy babies are what matter and he looks like a very healthy little guy!!!

Everyone is doing good!! Dae Lynn says that Baby Dean is such a good baby!! I hope he continues because his sister will be active enough for the two of them!!! Karlie and I have been over to the hospital every day to see the baby!! Yesterday a lot of family was there so we didn't get to stay very long, but they're coming home today and so we'll get to make up for yesterday!!!

Karlie's ready to go home.....and I'm ready for her to go home too!!! Taking care of a 3...almost 4 year old 24 hours a day is really tiring for Grandma!!!! Glen's been helping a lot and Amy helped yesterday with her.

The hospital has been a 35 mile drive to get to so it will definitely be much more convenient for us to see the baby when they get home!! I can't wait!!!

Oh.....and thank you for all of your kind words about our baby!!! I'll pass them on to Dae Lynn!!!

I've seen Baby Dean every day but yesterday. The kids got home on Monday and I took Karlie in and spent a long time holding the baby. I didn't go over yesterday because I knew she was having a lot of company.

Dae Lynn called this morning and I guess that night time has been quite hard. Her milk didn't come in until this morning and the baby's been fussy because he's hungry so they've been giving him a little bit of formula. Hopefully things will be better now that her milk's in. I guess they've called the doctor several times with questions!!!! She missed me not coming by yesterday.....I told her that I'd be by tomorrow because I have to work at the book fair.

Karlie's been doing very good. I guess that she'd been crying a lot but I think that's because she didn't have naps over the weekend. We were so busy going over to see the baby that we didn't get in any naps and I guess it showed when she finally got home but things are much better now.

The first couple of weeks are so hectic with a new baby, especially your first! Poor DaeLynn! She will appreciate your help for sure! Everything will work out smoothly, and Baby Dean will sleep and eat and get spoiled just fine!

Thanks so much Diana! As a matter of fact...........Eric called me today after their drs appt..she goes back on Monday. If she hasn't had the baby before, he will induce on Wed or Thurs. That is of next week. I can just feel your excitement about Baby Dean!! I am getting sooooooo excited about Baby Ryan!! I only wish that I lived closer to them. I am about 2 hours away......but I will go visit as much as possible and they will come here too!:):)

Dae Lynn says that he latched on right away first time and she hasn't had any problems since. He seems really satisfied now that her milk has come in and is really starting to fill out!!!

I finally got some more pictures on!! It just seems like I'm so busy......it's really not hard.....it just takes time!!! And...they must have done something on here because I don't have to resize my pictures any more. Either I have my settings right or something has changed.
