Busy ladies!! Glad you feel better, Diana! Take your elderberry to keep those bugs away. (Obviously, if I swore, I'd swear by it, but since I don't, I just highly recommend it!)

I am working away and so glad for this 10 minute break visiting all of you. My hands were too swollen to type a little while ago but they have calmed down so here I go!

My positive for today.

I spoke with my son's Godfather today, he still lives on the other side of the world, he is the sweetest, most kindhearted man ever. We have not seen him in 15 years, but he said he is coming over in june/july of next year.

Yesterday i spoke with hes Godmom, and told her about this site, hopefully she will join soon. :) :)

I had Oprah on and just got to listen to Josh Groban sing Silent Night....my what a voice he has.

My positive today has got to be the fantastic level of caring and support I've gotten from friends today about my daughters news.It helps a lot to not feel as if I'm wading in these murky waters all alone.

It's also helped that Katie herself took several steps today to get to a dr, arrange for pregnancy counseling, called and told her dad what's going on, and got good support and information from her own friends who have been in her shoes.

I always try to value my friends, but they're never more appreciated than when I truly need them and they're here for me.

Tink, that's what this forum is all about.....friends helping friends. I'm glad that we've been able to reach out and help you during this time. You're not alone with how you feel. Some of us have been where you're at or where your daughter's at. You know that we're still here if you need us!!

You have given your daughter the tools she needs to be an adult and she is rising to the challenge. I wouldn't have expected any less from a daughter of yours, Tink.

I had my third chemo today. I have one Dec. 11 and that will be the last really strong one. I will see the surgeon after that to see if the surgery is possible then but that is not likely. At least then the other 4 chemo's will be a lot lighter so not as much nausea and fatigue. My levels are still up so they haven't dropped during either one of my treatments. God is good.:)

katepoet 11-20-2007 11:31 PM

Congratulations on reaching that hurdle - I hope the rest of the chemo is easier to handle as they promise! :)

My positive today is: I woke up feeling energized and ready to start baking and getting more done for our meal on Thursday.

You're right Debbie, God is good and we have all been sending him our prayers for your recovery. He loves you and so do we.

I have a couple of positives today. First, as Mom already mentioned, I am super excited that she only has one more "tough" chemo treatment. We are really hoping the next set is easier on her.

My other positive, is that I just got back from an interview with a PCIT specialist. My paper is SO close to being finished!! :)

AngieDoogles 11-24-2007 09:14 PM

I finished my paper tonight and a very sweet YT'er gave me some feedback. :) I'm feeling great now that that's done!!!!!!

katepoet 11-24-2007 11:00 PM

Way to go, Angie! You worked so hard - glad you can enjoy the results. Will we get to read it sometime?
