Forgivenmom5 04-18-2008 12:32 PM

So glad Toby is better.

katcarasella 04-18-2008 12:36 PM

My positive is I have my appetite back and I'm working on keeping it.

Janet 04-18-2008 12:48 PM

My positive for the day is no one was injured during the rumblings of the earthquake. They are beginning to give reports of some damage to some older buildings, but no lives were taken or hurt. AMEN!!

Forgivenmom5 04-18-2008 02:03 PM

I agree Janet!

AngieDoogles 04-18-2008 02:15 PM

My positive is that mom started our Relay team and three wonderful ladies have already donated! Thank you!

I am so honored that Mom wanted me on her team and I'm going to try SO hard to make her proud.

AngieDoogles 04-18-2008 02:17 PM

Oh, and my other positive is that Maddie's party is in 45 minutes. The puppy icecream is in the fridge, the brownies are in the oven, balloons and streamers are hung, puppies are brushed and dressed oh so cutely, and the snack trays are ready!

Tink 04-18-2008 05:06 PM

My positive is that I have one deposit for a pup in hand and 3 others promised to be in the mail by Monday. IF they all follow through I already have half the litter spoken for. Not bad for being 48 hrs old!

judy 04-19-2008 01:02 PM

Nice going Tink! How are the babies and the Mama?

My positive for today is that it is another beautiful day, my class went very well, and life is good.

Freckles 04-20-2008 08:06 AM

My positive for today is that I am hosting a " Puppy Social " and many of our past puppies will be able to join us today.
I'm so excited and I can't wait to see them all. I enjoy ( very much) the friendships I have made from our extended Yorkie family and I feel blessed that we all keep in touch.
It's going to be a wonderful day ....... :)

Tink 04-20-2008 08:10 AM

O Janie, that sounds like a great way to spend the day!
Most of my pups have gone to people several hours away... it seems most around here have no clue what a Labradoodle even is. LOL SO while I'd love to be able to have a puppy reunion, i kinda figure it would end up being a pretty small one.

I do get updates and photos from my buyers, but I doubt most would be willing to drive 4-5 hrs to visit.

I'm so excited that I just can't stand it. LOL
We have been very lucky that all our puppies have gone to homes within a few towns. Since most have been on our waiting list for a while, we have the opportunity to bond pretty closely before their puppy is actually born and then ready to go home.
We really are very lucky ...

Tink, I just adore all your pictures of your labradoodles. There is a really cute one that lives just a few houses away and he is the cutest thing I have ever seen and he has personality plus! I just adore this breed ....

Judy, thanks for asking. They've already grown noticeably!
They're filling out nicely and thank GOD Canada is looking better already too.

Attachment 2956 They've gotten rounder, longer, louder, and stronger.

What I saw in the last litter and am already noticing with this one is that the pups seem to instinctively segregate themselves according to color. Last time the black ones bonded and played together, slept together, and the lighter ones did the same... and already this time they seem to do the same. This picture is how they choose to be... anyone have any theories on why? They can't see or hear yet... what's up with this?

Freckles 04-20-2008 08:23 AM

They are just beautiful Tink.
I think I am in love ..... with ALL of them. :D

I don't have any idea why they would cuddle the way they do ( by color ), but do you think it might have to do with different body temperature? I've never come across anything like this.
Is this the first time you have seen it in any of your litters?

Tink 04-20-2008 08:32 AM

Thanks Janie, I'm very pleased with how they turn out. I've bred different breeds over the years and have never had smarter, more sociable pups than the Labradoodles. It's so funny... when their new owners come they seem to just decide "Oh that's my new person! Hi, I love you!" and go off happily. We haven't had one that was shy or fearful in the least. That they're so cute with their Labradoodle coats grown out is just icing on the cake. I'm really smitten with them. :D

Prior to this, I bred Rotties and German Shepherds, so there wasn't the color contrast there that there is in these pups. It could be something really obvious that I'm just overlooking, but I have no clue what!

Chandra Amaya 04-20-2008 08:39 AM

I have two positives one for yesterday and then my new one.
For yesterday, I sold a vacation package to a mother with two daughters who are teenagers. She is going through a divorce. The girls have been down about the whole situation. This mother was in tears thanking me for giving them the lowest price on the package. She said that this will show the girls that they can still have fun and that they are still a family. This made me feel so good. Rarely in sales do you feel like you've made a difference. This time I do.
Second,
I am SO proud of my mom. She has not even finished her fight with cancer yet and is already helping others. Her making a relay for life team before she has even had her surgery just shows what a wonderful lady she is. She always thinks of others first. We are getting closer to hearing that she has a cancer free diagnosis. I do not think I could have anything more positive to put up than that.

Well heavens I can see why you are smitten! LOL
I am totally convinced that if we ever get a bigger dog it would really have to be a Labradoodle. Hubby loves them too...

As for the other thing....
I am totally mystified and have no clue. My first thought went immediately to different body temps, because they are so little ( eyes and ears closed) , but I guess you will know more as they get older. I hope you will let me know the answer when you figure it out.

Tink 04-20-2008 08:46 AM

Well said Traci!
Seems the nut didn't fall far from the tree. You obviously like to help others as much as Debbie does. That's a wonderful trait to have passed on.

Congratulations on the sale and helping a family realize that all is not lost.
I can only imagine how good that must make you feel. :)

Your other Positive is absolutely one of the best positives I have ever read.
I can see that your family is very strong and close and with that kind of support and love ..., a mother couldn't ask for more.
You all are very inspiring .....(( hugs ))

katcarasella 04-23-2008 01:36 PM

My positive today is that Debbie is on the mend, Thank you Jesus!!!

Janet 04-27-2008 08:18 AM

My positive for today is Debbie posted herself!!! Please take care of her Lord Jesus so she can spend quality time with her family and her 4WT family.

Also, my Mom comes home from Florida today.

My positive today is that Katie and I got to go out to eat and do a bit of shopping together today. She's not able to squeeze into any of her pre-pregnancy clothes anymore, so needed to pick up some clothes for when she's not home wearing baggy tees and sweat pants. We were able to find her 2 cute tops, so that's a start. She's only gained 4 lbs, but OH MY does she have a tummy now!
Attachment 3043

On May 10 (her 20th Bday) her sister and best friend are having a baby shower for her, so she needs to have something presentable to wear for that.

Chandra Amaya 04-27-2008 09:47 PM

my positive is that my DH was so sweet that he had me take an afternoon nap while he watched all the kids. I feel much better. :D

Lindsey 04-28-2008 05:22 AM

My positive is that we had a very successful beer night on the weekend and raised $300 for the cancer society :)

What a cute baby belly! Isn't it fun to buy them maternity clothes?

Janet 04-28-2008 07:45 AM

I think it is so wonderful that you were able to spend fun shopping time together with Katie. She is getting a belly isn't she...I think pregnant women are so pretty.

Forgivenmom5 05-11-2008 04:29 AM

My positive for the day is that it is Mother's day and I am here with my kids today. I am also able to go to church today for the first time in a long time.:)

DianaB 05-12-2008 11:24 AM

That's great, Debbie!!! I'm so glad that you had a great Mother's Day!!!

AngieDoogles 05-12-2008 11:26 AM

Tink, she has such a cute little belly. I've always thought pregnant women are just adorable!

My positive is that I have a second interview tomorrow. It will be nice if I get this job cause I'll be working with Brendon! Exact same shift too, so we'll save on gas and get to spend all of our off time together. We get off at 3:45 everyday so we'll still have a lot of time for friends and family and errands.

Oh, and we got our rebate today. YAY! :)

DianaB 05-12-2008 11:28 AM

My positive is that I had a great weekend. My cousin, Rick, and his wife came to visit us and see his grandfather. His son and his wife came too and they stayed with my son's family. Also their daughter came with her fiance and he was a lot of fun! Then Rick's Mom and Dad came but they stayed with my Mom and stepdad. My cousin's wife brought a lot of food with her so I didn't have to worry about much except for a breakfast and dinner for Mother's Day. I really hated for them to go home!

HALEY 05-13-2008 10:08 AM

My positive for today, is that my family had one last great vacation together with my mother!

AngieDoogles 05-13-2008 01:33 PM

My positive: I was offered a job today at my interview (unfortunately, it was not the one I wanted and I am hesitant to take it). BUT...I got called for another interview with a different company tomorrow. I'm hoping that works out well.

Janet 05-13-2008 01:39 PM

My positive today....I didn't have to clean up as much poop as usual. The girls (puppies) are doing good going outside.

HALEY 05-15-2008 10:27 AM

My positive for today, is that i'm finally starting to feel better, my allergeries were killing me, and my husband actually help me clean the house yesterday cause i wasn't feeling good... don't know what got into him.. but it was nice for a change... he even bath and fed the baby while i went grocery shopping! i was shocked !!!!

judy 05-15-2008 01:10 PM

My positive for today is that Janet might go to Chicago!

Janet 05-15-2008 03:42 PM

My positive for today is I didn't go quite as nuts as I have the past couple of weeks. Maybe I'm starting to feel better...either that or it's the Xanax!

Forgivenmom5 05-15-2008 05:55 PM

My positive for today is Janet feels better and might get to go to Chicago. Since I don't get to meet her at least my daughter can.

I also got something to make my clothes fit better.

Chandra Amaya 05-16-2008 01:07 PM

My internet is fixed! My poor hubby drove to several different places and called charter many times. He fought with them all day to get our modem back. ((they took it yesterday because our bill was past due, even though i called a week ago and told them I would pay it today!)) but he was determined to have it working for me when I got home from work and he did. So I'm BACCCCKKKKKK!

AngieDoogles 05-16-2008 01:24 PM

I have several positives today. First, I got to spend most of the day with my wonderful sweet mother. We hung out at her house for a while, then went to see my little sister at her "Fun day" event at school, then Mom came with me to nearby city to get a drug test for my new job.

The new job is actually my other positive! I was offered two positions--one with the company that Traci and Brendon work for and one as a photo specialist. The first one I wasn't really excited about other than the fact that Bren and I would have the same schedule. It isn't a job I think I'd be very good at. The second, however, is right up my alley, but the likelihood of getting it was much smaller. They interviewed lots of people and only had one position available. I made it through their tough interview process and they called today to offer me the position. I was ecstatic! :cheer:

My last positive is that my friends and I are going to watch Caspian tonight! :)

Janet 05-16-2008 01:35 PM

My positive is I've made it this far and only 4 more school days to go!!! YAY!!!

Chandra Amaya 05-16-2008 01:57 PM

oh! I forgot to add... I won 2 bags of popcorn, two candy bars and $10 for the people who listed me as a reference when they applied for a job where I work. I also get to spin a big whell (like the wheel of fortune wheel on a stand) twice for the ones who actually got the jobs. I will win anything from a five minute break to $50 on that. Thanks to Brendon (Angie's husband) and my wonderful hubby!
