When I was doing WW, it really worked, but I only got the 18 points per day, too, and had to be soooo careful what I ate to keep within 18. Hubby got the max and could not eat all of them. It just seemed sooo unfair at the time.

I need so badly to go back to it.

I'm doing about 23 points/day. 18 is okay for a short time, but I want to maintain the weight.

I guess whatever weight I end up at, when I decide I'm okay with it, is going to be my goal weight and goal points.

I'll never be a size 3 again! At 60, that would look awful. I'm a size 8, but I have that muffin top and that has to go. The flat stomach days are pretty much gone too.
I already had liposuction and won't be doing it again. It was great, b

But, with age comes tons of different experiences, wisdom and a sense of humor. Would I trade it in for a perfect body and no signs of aging? Not for a second!

After all my complaining about the number of points I can have, I went for a weigh-in yesterday because I won't be around on Thursday. I lost 1.2 pounds!

I was very pleased. I only need to lose 8-10, pounds so even if I lose 1 pound/week, or even 1/2 pound, that's fine.

i loved WW, you have to be creative with your points, like i would have a cheeseburger and eat it without the bun, stupid stuff like that i did, popcorn, and alot of veggies since most of the points were free, i still do ww but i don't have the book anymore but i been on it for about 6 years now and have that book engraved in my head, still doing good, i'm 5" 4" and about 109 lbs... this is after having a baby last year.. so i stick to my guns when it come to food, and i treat myself once a month with a DQ or something nice ..

another trick i learned i use the smallest plates in my house for my dinner, it looks like your eating more food, and i never go back for seconds, never eat all-you can eat salad bar etc when we go out, you always eat more, i chew the heck out of my food and i drink tons of water...

I was like you - doing great for about 5 years. Then, I retired and pigged out, but only dinner luckily, so I gained 11 pounds over the weight I like to be.

It's rough now because I'm only allowed 18 points plus the 35 floating points. I don't really count, I'm in the vicinity of 23-24 points/day. I figure if it takes a while, so what?

I also may not be able to maintain the weight I was last year. My lifestyle has changed and life is too short to worry that much. I do want want to get rid of the "muffin top" that has reappeared. After that's gone, I'll be happy.

Janet 02-15-2008 12:39 PM

Well, I know if anyone can do it...you will Judy.

judy 02-15-2008 06:22 PM

Thank you Janet. I hope so!
