Judy, I am sorry to hear this but thank God she got away. If you think of what could have happened you go insane. The b******d . I always drove my kids to school to just from being over protective of them so much. When it came time for middle school I had no choice but to let them walk with each other or friends. I did live a half a block away from school.. I always put the fear of God into them not to speak to any strangers etc..
Till this day and they are in 20's and young adults . I still check on them when they are out, or they call me to let me know whats going on if its late. They know that I worry regardless of age. It is just a habit... We live in such a sick society and I hope the world becomes better for Micah and our grandkids... |
Haley,
One thing I'm very careful of is that I always hold the granchildren's hands when we are out. This isn't easy because there are 3 of them, but Mackenzie holds one of the little one's hands. We walk in a row. They have to be close enough to me so that I can grab them if I have to. I hated taking them to malls and would not go to a Chuckie Cheese kind of place. I know I'm overprotective, but I don't care. I'm sure you're the same with that cute little guy of yours. |
