There is really no way to prepare for this kind of thing. You don't know where or when some pshyco is going to lose it. I wish I lived a long, long time ago, I know it was a little rougher, but it was safer. I can remember when we could go to bed at night with our doors and windows open and unlocked in the summertime. Now, even in our small town, it is just not safe. I hate to admit it, but most of the time I am afraid. I don't do anything like I use to.

Today's news said that he had KY jelly with him and had planned to molest them before killing them. The police must have gotten there sooner than he planned. Thank God he didn't have time to make their last moments even more horriffic.
The president is planning a meeting to discuss school violence. Don't know how the government can protect us against this kind of evil. Metal detectors & guards in Amish school houses??? Ain't happening. |
You know, I noticed on the news coverage that I didn't see anyone crying or "losing" it. Their faith must really get them through it or else they are not suppose to show emotion (I don't know much about the Amish). I've always felt I had plenty of faith, but I don't think I could handle anything like that. If I lost my son, heaven forbid....I would just give up. I wouldn't be able to bear it.

The 5:00 PM news just said that the guy had a 20 year old secret....that he molested some family members. Why didn't he just kill himself instead of taking these childrens' lives. Such a pity!!!!

Exactly!! Why take innocent kids with him ... or anyone for that matter!! It's tragic! :( Those poor parents! |
As each day goes by, more and more information about this "wacko" is coming out. Didn't anyone know he needed help????
