The medicine is working and Dae Lynn is much, much better this morning. She was able to go to work. Yay!!

How long does morning sickness last?

DianaB 07-10-2009 03:58 PM

On me it usually lasted until I was about 5 months along so she's got a ways to go. Poor girl.

She's hardly eating because nothing sounds good right now except ham sandwiches and a few other things. She knows that she has to eat though. As I said, Poor girl!!

Diana !!! Congratulations I am so happy to hear about the baby coming. I can feel for Dae Lynn I use to get morning sickness at the beginning to, back then they didnt give you anything.. I hope that she is feeling better soon. So happy for the whole family . :)

Betsi Congratulations to you too!! Wonderful news :)

I bet you can't wait to start shopping....you probably already have... :)

DianaB 07-11-2009 12:29 PM

I picked up some baby sleepers this morning at a garage sale that are all yellow or generic colors. I also found some maternity clothes in Dae Lynn's size. She was pretty excited about those. Yes, I'll probably have this baby well outfitted by the time it gets here!!!

Congradulations! :) How exciting. My sister is due in November with her first baby, she has been pretty sick and that started very early on. She is a labor and delivery nurse and is only working a few more weeks. Ow exciting, I love babies and we haven't had a baby in the family since my other sister had my nephew and he is 7 years old . :)

Awwww, hope the morning sickness goes away very soon!!! I had it for a while with both my girls. I kept saltine crackers by the bed and found that if I munched on a few of them before getting up, it helped significantly. My employer at the time, or rather my boss, cut no slack. I had to be there every day with no excuses. I was the first one in his department to have a baby in several years. He actually gave me a lower performance rating the year I had Karen because I had taken off for maternity leave and wasn't there to do my job, and someone else had to do it for me. What a jerk. Today they wouldn't get away with it, but that was 24 years ago.

So hope Dae Lynn is in a good understanding work situation!!!

Dae Lynn works at a pharmacy and they've been very understanding. Matter of fact she's going in late this morning because she's not feeling well. They've been really good to her about all of this even though they're a little short handed with people on vacations.

I'm glad she's feeling better. I'm sure this heat isn't helping any.

There's a couple down the road from us having SIX. She's about 20 weeks and has been in the hospital on bedrest for a couple weeks. They have a website: stanseljourney.com. Several things about their story bothers me, but I'm trying not to be too judgmental.
