How is the weather in Calgary today Maddie? I was watching Canada AM before work this morning and it said some parts of Alberta are under a snowfall warning, and they're expecting 10-20 cm of snow today! (That's 4-8 inches for everyone else here lol)

Sorry late reply! Lol. Weather has been CRAZY! Tons of wind, a sign blew off a 12 storey building downtown yesterday. One minute sunny, next minute rain, next minute HUGE snowflakes. (I'm not exaggerating about "minute" either. I was about to take Lucas for a walk when it turned sunny. Got his harness on and Boom, it was snowing again. Supposed to be -5C tomorrow for the high.

Booooo Calgary weather. :(

Wow, luckily it hasn't been that windy here or it would feel a lot colder! It was snowing a bit yesterday as I was putting gas in my car, but not enough to even show on the ground, just a few little flakes in the air. This morning it's -5 and I had to scrape thick frost off my car. The high today is -1 and we're expecting 2-4cm of snow. I always complain about the cold but I'm kind of excited because this is the first year in many many years that it's just like winter when I was little :D There was always snow by Halloween! Also, I have tons of cute winter jackets that I get to wear now lol :D

We were put on a flash flood warning yesterday because of the rain we are suppose to get today....up to 4 inches and heavey at times. It's raining now and is suppose to keep raining until sometime tomorrow.

88F here right now, 31C. 70% humidity. It was really warm this morning when I was packing the truck for the fishing tournament.

We have a front coming though, so it should get down to a high of 77F on Saturday, 25C.

This is why we have tree rats. They are trying to catch a breeze!!!

Lindsey please keep the snow by you thank you. I like Judy have been having pleasant weather 65-70 degrees. Just a light jacket is needed. I need to buy my mums and put out in the front with some fall and Halloween decorations.

I am not great at planting etc. Except on FarmVille I have an awesome farm.. just a click of the hand.. lol funny my husband said the other night why don't you try farming in the backyard. I looked at him and said yeah right!! lol

Marilyn 10-09-2009 05:56 PM

You're FarmVille is looking very nice, neighbor Gina!!! Very fine job for a city girl!!!

Been really cool here today, but I don't mind at all. Got some things done inside the house and didn't have to break a sweat. So much nicer. I don't think it's suppose to get out of the 60's all week.

DianaB 10-11-2009 06:00 PM

We have chances of rain all week. I sure hope we don't get it!!! I'm ready for sunshine!!! I don't like this fall......it's too wet and too cloudy!!!1

gja1000 10-11-2009 06:52 PM

Well, it's 57 right now, drizzly and cool all day. 73 is the forecast for tomorrow (Mon) and NINETY for Wednesday and 91 for Thursday. I'll tell you what, I'll be glad when the weather makes up its mind!!!

I moved my summery clothes into the extra closet to make room for some fall clothes - I can see that I'll be dressing in the extra closet on Wednesday and Thursday!

Janet 10-12-2009 08:25 AM

We have a chance of showers all week too. Right now it's raining and 45 degrees.

2tiredmom 10-12-2009 10:57 AM

It's raining here to today. Finally broke down and turned on the furnace. :(

DianaB 10-14-2009 06:21 AM

I hated turning mine on too. It's been on for a couple of weeks now. I'm a real pansy when it starts turning cold.

Lindsey 10-14-2009 06:24 AM

I just turned on my baseboard heaters last night because I had the chills. I had a bit of a fever though so that could have done it! I turned the heaters off again before bed. Being on the third floor, it does stay pretty warm in my place without having to run the heaters.

DianaB 10-14-2009 06:35 AM

Lindsey, that will probably help you save on your utilities too.

Lindsey 10-14-2009 06:42 AM

Well, it's water heat and water is included in my condo fees. No matter how much or how little I use, I will pay the same!
