I think Lafayette has a Steinmart, so I'll have to check it out sometime. I've not heard of a Ross Dress before.

I love thrift shops! We don't have a Goodwill, but there are 3 great thrift shops in Margaretville, and our library has one in my town of Roxbury. There is a Core Value that everybody goes to nearby and a very fancy "consignment" shop in Woodstock. I have a couple of things to bring over there and pick up a few dollars.
We all go to the thrift shops around here. I love that nobody is in the least bit embarrassed about it! Actually, a lot of people here have plenty of money, but shop there anyway. |

Janet I went to Steinmart today had a 20 % coupon on one item. I ended up buying a few tops that were half price got them for 15.00 each and a cute jacket that was on sale to for the same price so for 45 dollars I did pretty well. :) |
You did great Gina!! I may have enough clothes to get me through the winter. I would really like to start saving up for some flooring now. Not sure if I'll be able to do it or not, but gonna try.
|
What kind of floor are you looking to get, Janet?
I went to Core Value Thrift Shop yesterday and bought a nice picture frame and a Melitta coffeemaker. I'll run some vinegar through it and it will be just fine. Then today, I went for a ride to a salvage place. Got a couple of solar leds for $2 each, and some stuff to stick my plants in when I start filling up the vases. |
I'm not sure, but probably not carpet. That's going to be awhile too...lol. I sure wish I had enough money to do what I needed to do and then a little extra do get what I want...lol.

I don't think that we have a Steinmart around here either. I like to go to Cato's and I also like Dress Barn. They both carry plus size clothes. Catherine's is a favorite but it's pretty expensive unless you hit a sale and have a coupon.
Judy, I like to shop those kind of stores too. We just don't have any good ones near us. I guess that's why I go to the garage sales. Janet, I think that we all feel like that!!! |
I know Diana. I don't want to seem greedy at times, but I get this disease I call the 'wants'. lol.
I also have a hard time deciding which is a 'want' and which is a 'need'. |

Just assume that you "need" everything! Then see what you can afford, and take it from there. You'll come out exactly the same way!;) |
