I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!! I know this waiting period must be tough. I see you're staying busy though. I'm very excited for you.

Taurus Babe 04-30-2008 07:52 PM

Are we due for an update yet? I've been thinking about you guys....

teri88 05-01-2008 05:44 AM

Dobie, I just now saw this thread. Hang in there! The waiting is the absolute worst part....talking from experience here. Both of my kids were born after infertility treatments. I can still remember my husband crying as he was giving me my HGH shot...but it is ll worth it once you hold your baby in your arms. Now my babies are 17 and 15! Stay positive....lay in bed and picture those eggs implanting and growing inside of you. Sounds stupid, but it helped me! Best of luck to you!

and Angie.....I used to call my first living room furniture my "sorry Mrs. Shook, you'll never have children" couches. They were a light pastel green and not durable at all. 2 kids and 3 dogs later the couches looked like they were in a war when we threw them out!

Dobie 05-01-2008 04:45 PM

We have to wait another week before we can do the pregnancy test - I'm trying to stay positive and imagine the baby at the end of this journey.

Hoping and praying for the best!

Janet 05-06-2008 02:46 PM

Dobie, I hope it isn't too upsetting for you to be asked about the results. I know when I was going through fertility treatments I wanted everyone to be interested and praying, but I hated being being asked all the time.

It actually is very comforting to me that everyone is showing me so much support and cares enough to ask.

goofywife 05-06-2008 03:51 PM

I am sending my prayers for you! I hope its positive!

Janet 05-06-2008 04:02 PM

I'm so glad. I know how emotional it can be and I was on pins and needles all the time. I wanted a baby so bad. Prayers being sent your way Dobie!!

Forgivenmom5 05-07-2008 04:03 AM

Hoping you get your positive results!!!!

Dobie 05-07-2008 10:21 AM

We didn't get good news today - the results are negative. I'm really devestated - I'm not sure where we're going to go from here.
I wanted to thank all of you for the support that you have given me - it made the waiting easier.

Tink 05-07-2008 12:05 PM

Dobie, I'm so sorry. I know how much you wanted this... sometimes life simply isn't fair and there's not always much we can do about it.
My prayers continue for you. Sometimes miracles happen... I pray you get one soon.

HUGS

Thanks Tink. I believe when God closes one door he opens another. I was on the phone with my cousin today (she's 19) and she has offered to donate eggs. I told her that we shouldn't make any decisions while we are this emotional. But it is at least giving me some hope.

DianaB 05-07-2008 12:22 PM

Dobie, I'm so sorry. Words are so inadequate sometimes but I want you to know that I care for you and what you're going through. {{{{{{Dobie}}}}}}

Janet 05-07-2008 01:26 PM

Dobie, I am so sorry. I gave up trying to hold the tears back, because I know that disappointment. I wish there was something I could do or say, but I know there isn't anything. The only thing that would have helped me when I had devastating news was if someone would have handed me a baby to keep as my own. I'll keep you in my prayers Dobie...I'm so sorry for your disappointment.

judy 05-07-2008 03:43 PM

Dear Dobie,

I'm so sorry. You will hold a baby in your arms one way or another Dobie. We're all praying for you.

I know that you're devastated now. I wish I could hug you and tell you that everything will be all right.

goofywife 05-07-2008 03:49 PM

I am so sorry!:ghug:

Dobie 05-07-2008 03:50 PM

I want to thank everyone again for their love and support. I've been trying to keep busy and have been going back and forth from being sort of numb to sobbing - you guys have been wonderful - and even though I've only been here a relatively short time, I feel like you've embraced me and it has made such a difference for me!

Forgivenmom5 05-07-2008 04:28 PM

I am so sorry you didn't get positive news. Pray and your answers will come. I hope you find comfort and answers soon.

Taurus Babe 05-07-2008 05:09 PM

Sorry to heart this news. Hang in there. If this is something you really want, then one day you will somehow fulfill your dreams.

Marilyn 05-07-2008 06:04 PM

Dobie, I haven't been on here much lately, so I'm trying to catch up a bit. I'm so very sorry to hear your news. I know this must be devistating. The proper words just aren't coming. My prayer is that you find the right path, and make good decisions for the future. Know that we all care very much and are offering or best wishes for you!!

teri88 05-08-2008 05:57 AM

ahhh Dobie, I am sorry. When you are going through it month after month you think it will never happen. You are in my prayers that God will bless you with a baby. Major hugs going out to you.

Emmsmom 05-08-2008 10:02 AM

I am so sorry! I know how badly you wanted this. I can't begin to know how you feel but I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. ((HUGS))

I am glad you realize that this is not the best time to make decisions. This is a wonderful gesture fromm your cousin. When and if you do consider this just make sure she understands that donating the eggs means it is YOUR child. She may visit as a close cousin, but the child and all matters concerning him or her is up to you and your husband and does not include her. Also, make sure that she can deal with watching the child grow and not feeling in any way that it is hers. I do not mean to make this time more difficult. I just wanted to make sure you have thought of these things before discussing it with her. *hugs* Best of luck to you.
