Maybe yell FIRE!!!!!!! I don't know....I'd go without him. Have a great time with a friend, extended family member or just enjoy the peace and quiet doing what ever you want to do.

You have a very important and special job staying home w/ 4 kids, managing the house, being a wife, etc. You deserve some "adult time" out and it's important to get some.

Hopefully you have family or a trusted neighbor/friend who can babysit. Then you and hubby slip out for just a couple hours for a nice dinner or show.

Or....Dad stays home, watches the kids and you take yourself out to lunch which includes an indulgent dessert and possibly go shop at a special boutique for something really special just for you. :love032:

Marilyn had a spa day today, A 4 hour pamerping all just for her. Possibly you could get a spa day for yourself. (Oh how I want one of them!!)

Just wanted to report on the spa day. It was incredible. I was there 6 hours. First 1 hour seaweed wrap with facial reflexology, then 1 hour Swedish massage, 1 hour facial & then pedicure with hot lava rock massage and a manicure. I feel so good and relaxed. The only thing was that I left there with oil everywhere. My hair was a mess, so first thing I had to do was wash my hair and clean my face and apply makeup. Just couldn't stand the oil in my hair. I'll shower before going to bed to get more of the oil off, but I'm letting it soak in for a while. They said that the nutrients from the seaweed would continue to soak in for a few hours even though they washed it all off. They kept offering iced water, iced peach or raspberry tea, and I saw one lady with a glass of white wine. It was quite a place. I'd had massages, pedicures and manicures before, but not like this. They really pamper you where I went. It's called the Woodhouse Day Spa and is a franchise. There may be one in your area. Wish some of you could have joined me. The only thing that would have made it better would be a dear friend to share the experience with. There were a couple of ladies there who were friends and they were having quite at time both getting manicures and discussing what they had done there.

Sounds like you had an amazing day! Maybe next time you'll be able to take a friend with you and enjoy it even more. I bet your skin will feel SO nice tomorrow after all of the oil is gone. Congratulations on having a "you" day!

Oh, it sounds like it was so relaxing! I would love to go to an all day spa! I went and had a hot rock massage in January and LOVED it. The next time I go and visit my aunt I'm going to have her schedule another one but an all day spa sounds just wonderful!!! I can see where having a friend go with you would be a lot of fun! Wish I were closer I'd go with ya'.

By the way, don't want to make anyone feel bad by bragging, but the spa day was really nice. The amazing thing though was that when I got home the house was clean. Hubby had done it, and he even cooked supper. What a man!!! Married 33 years and would not trade him for anything.:smlove2:

Aww, how sweet! It's always nice to hear that someone is happy. I've only been married for a little less than three years, and I feel the same way. Wouldn't trade him for all the money in the world! :2cute: Guess I'm just a hopeless romantic...

Marilyn ~ I am so glad to hear your spa/you day was an amazing day. Then to top it off, coming home to a clean house and home cooked dinner by your hubby. I bet you were in 7th heaven!! :p

I will definitely be trying the entire spa experience some day for sure. It just sounds like something to wonderful to miss out on.

Thanks for giving us the update - All of us ladies I am sure are now wanting a spa day for ourselves!! And, just like the ad says "It's Loriel, and I'm worth it". LOL :p

Marilyn, you aren't bragging.we want to hear all about your spa day. I haven't had the chance to do that yet, but you make it sound so wonderful. I do have a little stashed back and I really am considering it. To have all this done and be so relaxed....I just can't imagine.

I'm glad you had a great time and that you had a great surprise when you got home.
