That's a lot of episodes! I will give it a shot though. You are such a sports fan! Have fun watching the games!

DianaB 01-04-2013 07:18 AM

Yes, Gayle, we all know that you love your sports!!! I wish that I enjoyed them like you do!!

There really isn't much on tv right now. I still have some Christmas movies recorded on my DVR but I'm so bored with them. I'm ready for some good dramas!!

judy 01-04-2013 08:54 AM

Do you have Netflix, Diana? I do not have it, but I hear it is wonderful.

DianaB 01-10-2013 10:06 AM

No, I don't have it. I try to keep movies and shows recorded so I have something to watch when I'm ready. My TV is on almost all of the time. I like the noise of it. Mostly it's on cartoons!!! Imagine that!!!

I also record movies, even if I pay for them through pay per view. I just found out that, if you have Amazon Prime, you can rent a lot of movies and TV shows from Amazon Instant movies, and watch on your computer or your ipad. In fact, you can hook up your computer up to your TV if if has an HDMI port, and watch on your TV screen. I never tried it.

Which movies, if any, have we seen from the Oscar nominees? Critiques please!!

I saw Wild Beasts, and absolutely loved it! What an interesting, odd little movie. The little girl is just unbelievable. I fell in love with her!

That's it for me....

I want to see Lincoln, Argo, Silver Linings Playbook, Life of Pi and Zero Dark Thirty. Les Mis will wait until I can see it for free. It sounds so dreary to me. Never heard of Amour.

Haven't been to the movie this year so I'm clueless. Lol!

Downton Abbey premier of season 3 was Sunday. Fabulous show. I think it's one of the best series ever, right up there with Call the Midwife! Lol!

I will try an episode!!

Judy I went to see Lincoln and thought that it was excellent .I am a big history buff and thought that Daniel Day Lewis and Sally Field did a wonderful job. I know others who have seen it and said they fell asleep at the beginning. I agree it was a little to long and Speilberg should have left a chapter or two out. I want to go see Les Mis I hear that it is a tear jerker.

I loved Lincoln...haven't seen any other movies.

judy 01-11-2013 05:56 PM

I love Abraham Lincoln, so I know I will love the movie!

DianaB 01-15-2013 09:10 AM

We hardly ever go to the movies so I don't have a clue!! I would like to see Lincoln. I may wait until it comes out and buy it though.

WOuld love to see lincoln but will wait for it to come out on dvd. We did go see parental guidance. It was pretty good. Made you think.

Season 3 of Masterpiece Theater, Downton Abby, is really good. I'd encourage anyone to watch it. You can watch season 1 (and probably 2 really soon) on Netflix.
