A Fun Night.......
 

Yesterday was Dae Lynn's 30th birthday!! You could tell that it was a hard birthday to cross from some of the things she said. She had talked to Damon sometime and was planning on going to his house for a birthday supper but it ended up not working out because they are so busy with wheat harvest. I don't do anything for the kids' birthdays now that they have families......I give a nice card with money in it.

Anyway......Dae Lynn was really upset that she wasn't going to Damon's for her birthday so I told her that I'd take her out to eat. We went to a pizza place in a neighboring town and had a good time. But.....before I left I texted the girls.....and Tammy......we were going to do something......I just didn't know what.

So......at almost 10 o'clock I told Dae Lynn to put a bra on under her pj's and get some shoes on......she ended up changing into pj pants instead of a gown......and I had on pj pants too. Then we went and picked up Amy.......a friend, Caroline, who is almost my age.......and Jaci. We had NO idea what we were going to do but Amy had come up with a few things. We were going to find letters around town and take our picture with them and spell out Dae Lynn's name.......the letter "E" was taken with a policE car!!! Some of the things I didn't do so I took pictures.......layed down in the middle of a highway......sung a song at the top of our lungs on top of one of our mounds (hills that are by our town.....one has a nice park on top). It ended up being midnight and a neighbor from below howled when we sang!!! We played at a park.......we went to the football stadium to take a picture with the letter "Y"........we planked!!!! Planking is where you lay on something and straighten out your arms and legs.....like a plank!!! We did a Chinese fire drill down town on the square.......we bought forks to "Fork" a yard but then couldn't figure out who to do it to!!! I can't think of what else we did......it will probably come to me later!! We laughed and laughed!!! Amy has all kinds of pictures that were taken!! Dae Lynn was surprised and ended up having a wonderful and silly birthday!!! We ended up getting home about 2 o'clock!!! What a night to remember!!!!

Oh, I can't wait to see those pictures!! That sounds like some of the crazy things WE do, lol! It's probably a good thing we don't live close to each other...we would stay in trouble:p

You know, Janet, fun is simple.......you just need a friend that can act silly!!! I had NO idea what we were going to end up doing but I knew that we'd figure something out!!

Amy posted pictures on FB.....and I shared them if you want to see them!! We had a lot more than she posted!!

I know what you mean Diana. My girlfriend Diane and I went shopping the other weekend and I embarassed her a little I think....I just felt the need to dance....so I did....right there in the mall. I sure got a lot of smiles!

That's what makes life fun!! I'm so proud of you, Janet!!

One time.....years ago.....I was at the grocery store with Dae Lynn and I mentioned that it would be so cool if people would break out in song and dance like they do in the movies in regular life.......and then I danced down the isle. There wasn't anyone around but Dae Lynn and me.......and the round circle mirror that showed the isle. I had a lot of smiles when I reached the counter........and Dae Lynn was embarrassed!!!

I want my kids and friends to remember that I was fun to be around......and maybe a little goofy!!!!

I didn't know me and Dae Lynn were so close in age. I can't see the pics either :( but I'm so happy everyone had a great time.

Jessica, my children are older except for Jaci. Feyn is 37......Amy is 35......Dae Lynn is 30......and Jaci is 20. From oldest to youngest is exactly 17 1/2 years. From Nov. 5th, 1974 to May 5, 1992. I don't feel old enough to have children that old!!! LOL

Thank you so much Diana for posting the pictures....I love them. You should have post the ones of you too! lol. Looks like you all had such a great time. Sure wish we lived closer or that I was richer that I could fly out anytime.

Ah.....the one I left out of me had my arms up and my flab waving in the breeze......not a pretty picture. We were all jumping in the air......which I can't do......so I was just going through the actions. There were better pictures taken of me but in this one Amy's belly wasn't showing......I guess it all depends on what you wanted to see!! LOL

It was such a fun night!! We acted so silly and just plain had fun!! Caroline's birthday is July 7th and we're thinking that we may just do it again. I'm sure Amy will think of things for us to do!! I think that it really made Dae Lynn's birthday a memorable day!!!

I'm sure it did make it memorable for her. You all were being so funny!

We were........especially for Caroline and me.......she's just three years younger than I am. It just showed us that we can have fun and be crazy without spending a lot of money to do it!!

Diana, I can just tell that you all had a great time. It can be so fun in a small town. You could never do that in a big city - you'd be arrested! LOL

I love seeing the pictures! You and your girls are beautiful! I understand about the upper arm thing. Mine flap in the breeze, and I don't mean just a little bit, lol! It's almost impossible to find shirt to reach my elbow, so I just let 'em flap:rolleyes: I'm glad you had so much fun.

Gayle, I was worried about someone calling the police because it was on a Wednesday, we were loud, and I knew that people had to work the next day. I had to keep hushing the other girls. We were laughing so much that you'd have thought that we'd been drinking!!!

The town was pretty dead at the time we were out!! I'm sure that it is a lot different than being in a bigger city. In our town we really don't have any places that you're scared to go at any time. Basically it's a pretty safe area.
