Introduction
Hi everyone.
I'm Debbie-Angela and Tracie's Mom. Angie convinced me I have to do this. The only other forum I have been on is Maltese talk and I just started that so I am really new to this. The girls seem to really like it though and you have all been really sweet to them. |
YAY! I'm so glad you finally joined!!! You'll love it here! :)
:wavey: Welcome! |
You're here!!!:coolsmiley: The girls have said that they were trying to talk you into becoming a member! You're going to love it here! This is a very friendly place to be and we have some really wonderful members. I should warn you that this place is addicting!!!:coffee_n_pc:

I don't know if the girls really want me here or not. I have already seen some things that I didn't think my sweet innocent little girls would say.:) |
Glad to have you here!!! Nice to meet you :friendship:
I have a daughter on here, too, so can relate to your concerns. You will enjoy getting to know everyone & seeing your daughter's take on some of the discussions. Diana is right though, it can become very addicting!!:coffee_n_pc: |

Once the soil temps are consistent within the 50's you can begin to plant most spring vegie seeds. A few weeks later when the soil temps are up into the 60's and 70's you can plant summer stuff. Cool season vegies are like most salad greens, peas, onions and cold crops such as cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli--can tolerate temperatures slightly below freezing. I think transplants can (if you start your seeds let's say in styrofoam cups on a sunny window sill) safely be placed into your soil when it's consistently warmer w/ no freezing, etc. Warm season vegie's are like tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash and melons. I believe your area is zone 6. Planting your perennials / annuals could easily be planted in May - no danger of frost this time. I believe you want to aim for temps being consistent within the 70's. All bulbs no matter what zone area are best planted in the fall. Don't forget to take pics of your garden and share with us all here. :D |
