Someone's Missing

When I've come on here the last few days there's only been a few posts. Who are we missing? I know that Traci hasn't been on here as much. Are we missing anyone else? Or am I having a M & M moment? (Menopause & Memory)

AngieDoogles 04-03-2007 12:57 PM

I've felt the exact same way Diana. Maybe everyone's lives are just boring right now and they have nothing to post about. lol. Hopefully it'll pick back up soon.

Janet 04-03-2007 01:02 PM

I thought everyone just up and left!! Many times I'm the only one here. Maybe everyone decided to catch up on all the stuff they neglected while on here last week....lol

I've been here! LOL! I just haven't posted as much because I've been swamped with papers and projects...getting near the end of the semester and it starts to become a bit tougher.

rivermom 04-03-2007 03:34 PM

I've been away for days now. Plus, I worried my very dear friend Mandy. Girl, so so sorry!! :(

I've been so busy around here but hopefully things will slow a bit to get back on normally.

Marilyn 04-03-2007 04:57 PM

Looks like the activity runs in cycles. We were afraid a while back when it got really slow, then it got really busy with 100+ or even 200 posts per day. Now it has dropped off for a while. I, for one, have been very busy with other activities and just do not have the free time to get on here as much. Busy time of year. I probably won't be on as much from now until mid to late August. But will check in and post when I can.

What do you do Marilyn?

Dont be sorry girl, just glad all is OK! ;)

It has been slow on here, ive been in and out. Hope things will keep rolling :D

Passionfruition 04-04-2007 05:17 AM

I've been on since September (I think?) but my posts are hit-and-miss. I get worried sometimes about posting things for ALL to see b/c you never know who will stumble upon a forum, since it is a public site. But I really do enjoy reading your posts and will stay active and post more when I find fun things to post about. :)

Janet 04-04-2007 05:37 AM

I'm not on near as much either, but do pop in quite a few times just to see what's happening. It's cold this week, so I'll probably be here more. Once the weather warms up again, I'll be busy again. Just hope we don't lose anyone.

DianaB 04-04-2007 08:44 AM

I guess that the nice spring weather, school finals, and getting ready for Easter has everyone busy with other things. I guess that I was just missing all of you and the busyness of having everyone here.

Passionfruition 04-04-2007 09:12 AM

For me, "wedding season" has begun in full-force. Work is busier than ever before as my career has taken off since last year, and I'm having to turn down business I'm so swamped.

But I can't complain! Not at all. I'm incredibly blessed and have to remind myself to not get too busy to thank God for every gift, every blessing, as well as all that I've learned thru the hard times as well. Know what I mean?

Tink 04-04-2007 09:21 AM

I'm probably the chatterbox of the bunch right now, huh? ;)

I find when I have nothing else going on I am on my computer WAY more than I should be.

Me too. Lately, I've kept a pretty strict "to do" list at home, to accomplish some of those things (like exercising?!) that I never seem to have time for, yet I have time to check my email way more than once a day. Oh, and 4wt too, of course!

This gives me an idea for a new thread, lol!

Professionally, I'm an engineer who works full time and then some selling valves to petrochemical and power plants. But what I also do is help my hubby with his business this time of year. He's a custom home builder and in May, he puts a home in a Parade of Home Tour. To show well, the home has to be furnished and decorated, and that's my job. I had to pickout all the furniture and have it ordered by a local furniture store who will allow us to show it for the advertising. We will also need rugs, lamps, plants, placemats, table settings, bath accessories, everything it takes to make a show home. Some of the items we buy and return after the show, some we borrow, some come from our own home. A local artist is allowing us to display some of her paintings. It's quite a project. Then during the tour, I help him staff the home.

We also have vacation planning...church activities....we're getting a used 5th wheel RV ready for one of our daughters to live in at college next fall...we're selling a piece of property and some of my stuff is still in the buildings...we're trying to sell our home so we can build again either here or in another city. It just seems like there is a lot to do that takes time away from sitting here at the computer. And of course, we all have to deal with cleaning and laundry.

This is probably much more detail than you wanted. We ALL have busy lives and sometimes think ours is busier than others. I just get tired and stressed at times, like everyone does, and lately, I've been a bit extra stressed, not over anything really important, just the day to day stuff of life.

AngieDoogles 04-04-2007 03:50 PM

Wow Marilyn!!! That sounds so exciting. I know it must get stressful, but that seems like a job many would LOVE to have. :) I'm sure it will come together beautifully and everyone will just love it!

I'm sorry you are stressed right now. I've been pretty stressed too lately...just end of semester stuff and I've not been feeling great physically. I know it's hard (and we've even had a thread about it!) but try not to let the stress get to you. Everything will turn out wonderfully! *hugs*

AngieDoogles 04-04-2007 05:49 PM

Now that I think about it, Rebecca has been missing too! We need our make-up specialist!! :(

Gina 04-04-2007 06:08 PM

Girls I am guilty of being awol to!! I am a realtor and the spring market is picking up. I have been going to closings and working with buyers and sellers.. Not complaining, I will catch up after Easter on the posts... If I don't post .. Happy Easter to all!! :) :)

Hope you get to feeling better soon, and that it is nothing serious. Also hope you do well making it through the end of semester stuff, and then you have your scholarship possibilities. How exciting!! Life can be exhausting at times, but as long as we don't lose our focus on the important things, we'll make it through. Will be thinking of you!!

Thanks Marilyn. You are such a sweetheart. :) I always get stressed this time of the year, but I always make it through alright and somehow I've managed to keep a 4.0. I think if I lost it I would be much less stressed cause I wouldn't feel such a strong desire to maintain the "perfect" GPA. Maybe getting an A- would be a blessing in disguise. lol. Life IS exciting right now, for many of us it seems!

What a good reminder! Sometimes I let the little things take my focus of the important things and I will definitely work on that. :)

Thanks for such a sweet post. You made me smile tonight. :D

Happy Easter to you and Gucci :) :)

That sounds like so much fun. I love to decorate!! It would be fun to actuall do a house for show! I'm sure that it keeps you really busy with everything else that you're doing though.

Tink 04-05-2007 08:22 AM

Wow Marilyn, you ARE busy!

Right now my life is pretty relaxed in that I'm not working, my kids are grown so I don't have to keep tabs on them, etc.

Having time to plant flower seeds, searching for the perfect carpet for my living room, and such is kinda fun when I don't have to feel rushed.

Guess I'll take advantage and catch my breath now while I can. LOL

I would love an afternoon to plant flower seeds. *sigh*
