I gave my mom a bouquet of multi colored roses today since I won't get to see her tomorrow. I got a nice card and a gift card from my oldest in the mail today since she works this weekend and lives over an hr away, so I won't get to see her either. I also got a nice card from my youngest, so doubt I'll see her either. LOL

Happy Mother's Day! My husband and I are going to church and then cooking lunch for my mom.....but quickly, because I am shooting another wedding all day tomorrow. *sigh*

Great post, Gina!! ;) Happy Mothers Day to all you moms out there!!! Both our girls are home, yeah!!!! Melissa will be working the Parade of Homes with her dad so Karen and I can tour the homes this afternoon. We'll eat out together at a small Mexican cafe after church to avoid the crowds and get on with our day.

Hope all of you get to do whatever you most like to do today!! Enjoy, you deserve it!!

We went out to eat friday night instead of today. I wanted to avoid the crowds. We ate at a Japanese Restaurant. THey cook all the food in front of you and give you a show. We had a really good time.

I think my Mom really enjoyed Mother's Day. We got her a camcorder which she has been wanting for the longest time. :) It made me super happy to give it to her. We ended up giving her the empty box and taping her opening it with *her* camcorder which she didn't know was hers until she saw the box. It was pretty funny and she was shocked. It's all on video, too so I'll have to post it when she is done with the rest of the DVD-R.

I had a great Mother's Day!!! My rec'd a hanging swing, a new hose and a hose reel. I know the hose and reel doesn't sound like a great gift, but I've been needing one and I love getting things I need. Now I can roll the hose up instead of leaving it just lay on the ground.

Those kinds of gifts are my favorite Janet. I just love getting something that I needed, especially stuff for around the house. I hope you enjoy your swing and the hose! I'm glad you had a great day. :)

Thanks all. We are putting the swing on the swing set frame we had for my son when he was little. I'm gonna move it to the fenced in area (once we get the new fence up) so we can sit and swing while the babies play. It will be so nice.

That was a nice gift, Janet. I've looked at hose reels and I think that I'm going to get one one of these days too. My hose just lays around in the front yard. You'll love your swing and it will be perfect to sit in while watching the little ones.

For Mother's day I got a beautiful hanging basket of double pink impatients. I just loved it! And I got a package of my favorite chocolates with coffee beans in them and a really wonderful card from my daughter who just had the miscarriage. Yumm!!! Then last night my son brought over a gift for me and it's a digital photo frame! I'm excited about it and am looking forward to putting pictures on it. And my husband took me out to eat at my favorite Mexican restaurant. All in all, I had a wonderful Mother's day!!

I was really surprised when my son showed up with a gift because he and his wife have bought the movie theater in our town and have been really, really busy cleaning and repairing it. They plan on opening on this Friday night with Shrek 3. We're all really excited about it. They're planning on being very selective about what movies they show.

That's what my hose is doing. Just laying in a pile on the ground. The reel will make it a little nicer, maybe..LOL

Sounds like you rec'd some nice gifts to for our special day. My husband isn't good at gift giving, but this year they did really good.

How fun to open a movie theater. We have had a couple here where I live, but they just don't stay busy enough and leave. Don't know if we'll get another or not. I haven't seen Shrek 2, but I loved the first Shrek.

My son and his wife are really excited about it. They've gotten a lot of help from my daughter-in-law's family so things are getting done a lot faster than they were expecting. To go to the movies from our communtiy you have to drive 30 miles to the nearest theater so they're hoping that by cleaning it up and getting new sound systems that maybe they can get people to start coming in. I just don't want my grandchildren watching every movie that comes in! That's my biggest concern. It's going to be interesting!!!
