Secret Friend Gift Exchange
 

Many of us are from YT and we know the routines of the Gift Exchanges. What are all your feelings of doing the same with 4womentalk?

I wonder if Admin would go for this ????????

Possibly it could be a seasonal thing. For instance, Christmas time, Spring, Summer/Fall.

We could make the $ limit small and the gifts could be just small tokens of appreciation of sharing "women time", etc.

So, what are all your feelings on this? Pro's / Con's

I would be in favor of that. I've never done the gift exchange at YT as I've never donated - I always forget or either it's bad timing when I do remember! But I love doing gift exchanges - we do them here at work at Christmas time. I'll be watching for updates from admin on this. Great idea!!

I think it would be a wonderful idea!!!! And since most of us are from YT, I think it would be fun. And I was just thinking the other, my dogs get way more packages in the mail than I do!!! LMAO! SO I say YES!!! It would be a great idea!!!!

OMG, from some of these posts I can only imagine the gifts that everyone would send.... We probly wouldn't even be able to post pics. without blur spots...LOL

I was thinking the same thing. Many battery operated "toys" would be vibrating in packages.;)

I think it's a wonderful idea!! I could just imagine all the fun that would go into shopping for a 4WT secret buddy!! :D

However, i don't think i would be allowed to join in because i live overseas, because on YT Admin does not allow members from other countries other than the US and Canada to take part of any gift exchange :(

But i will be right here, looking at recieved gifts and reading all the stories!! :D I'll enjoy watching ya'll having fun!! :thumbup: ;)

Really Mandy? All this time you've been with YT I had no idea you were not involved with the gift exchanges. That is soooo sad :( .

Well, if Admin allows 4wt to start our own gift exchange here and the oversea rules at YT apply the same as here, don't worry. I will see to it that you receive something special!!

We are very open to the idea of Gift Exchanges for 4WomenTalk if there is enough interest among our members here. We are not sure if it would be difficult or not to "shop" for your fellow member, but I'm sure we can figure out a good system.

We would require partcipants be 4WomenTalk Donating Members and that they be women (with a minimum age of 18). Thus, 4WT could ensure that each and every Gift Exchange participant will receive a gift even if their Secret Buddy doesn't send a gift. We have not even started to take donations here on 4WT yet as we are currently focused on making our community better and helping the site grow at this time.

We would like at least 10 willing participants (though 20 or more would be ideal) to start a Gift Exchange.

We also would allow participants in countries other than the USA or Canada, but the cost of shipping is extraordinarily high for packages, thus we would require a $20 shipping fee for overseas participants per Gift Exchange. This fee would be directly paid to the Secret Buddy who is sending the gift overseas.

If members want to exchange gifts one on one with another fellow 4WT member and friend, that is fine by us and encouraged, however, we do not allow threads for "unofficial" 4WT Gift Exchanges or looking for people to exchange gifts with.

Are these forums run by the same people? Some things are just so familiar...Hummm:rolleyes:

But anyways, I'm all in for the exchange...as soon as I find 20$$

LOL, Y'all are a riot!!!! I'm all for a gift exchange, sounds like fun, but do think we should have some guidelines.

Once Admin coordinates and gives the go-ahead for the gift exchange, I am sure the guidelines will be posted. ;)

Yes, 4WT and YT are run by the same people. They also run biewertalk.com, maltesetalk.com, and chihuahuatalk.com.

Why would he want to keep it a secret!! He is sooo awesome putting all this together for us here and we owe him soo muchQ!!!! I truly appreciate all the forums he has for us to go to everyday!!!! He should hold his head up high and be proud!

I dunno.....people have told me before that "he" is a secret. :p :p :p I dunno WHY he would want to hide it, but he may. If he does, I just want to respect that regardless of the reason.

Those sites listed above are indeed related. A number of people work to make hard these communities a fun and happy place for our members. Currently, no other sites are officially related to 4WomenTalk.

well if we do this we could ask likes dislikes allergies and stuff decide what to give or not give example please no sex toys for me lol and i love stuff that smells like fruit i hate vanilla smelling stuff but i love stuff that smells like chocolate and i like bare essentials in starting to get into it not the lip gloss its kinda sticky i have an idea we could send our gift partner our favorite things one of mine is victoria secret lip gloss or lancome lip gloss color sun bronze later cecilia:)

I pulled this thread out of the old file and dusted it off. We have twice as many members now (I think) so wanted to see if possibly Admin will let us get this going?? :D

I think most of us are open to becoming a donating member which is one of the criterias to being able to be involved with this gift exchange.

So ladies, are you still open to it?

I never participated on YT, but I am willing to do so here, count me in..

Administration:) I just want to say, as I tear up, I get so darn emotional..LOL I have grown to love this site sooooo much. The ladies here, well, you can't ask for better, more compassionate or supportive ladies anywhere. I am on here wayyy more than I should be honestly, but I feel that everyone here is just like family and I want to be with them.

I'm definitely open to it!!! Let's just please, make it a rule, no sex toys unless it's agreed upon between the people involved.

I think a gift exchange is a great idea...and there seems to be a lot of people interested enough to support it.

We have a few Donating Members here at 4WomenTalk. Ideally, we would like at least 5 Donating Members that would be willing to participate in a Gift Exchange to start one up here. :)

Oh goodness, another string w/ a carrot dangled in front of our nose. Tease, tease, tease...:p

I am sure 4WT will obtain more donating members and then it will be such fun to start the gift exchange.

Making special little packages for members will be such a blast. Not to forget all the smiles it will bring to our faces. :p

I've been thinking it over and I would like to be part of an exchange, as long as we get plenty of information about the person that we're getting for. It's really hard to get something for someone you hardly know. So count me in!!!!

Well, it looks like we're just one interested Donating Member away from the start of a 4WT Gift Exchange... :)

I'm am going to TRY to talk my hubby into letting me become a donating member when he gets paid tomorrow. Money is very tight here so I'm not sure how it will go. He works while I'm a stay at home mom. So wish me luck ladies :)
