anyone with Vertigo?
I woke up Sat. morning and the room starting spinning around. I can't lay on my left side, can't lean forward or turn my head to the left, it is horrible and I get sick to my stomach and so weak, have to hold on to the walls to go to the bathroom. I have laying down most of the day. Checked out Webmd, and it sounds like vertigo. I have had problems with allergies for the past 3 months and pressure in my sinistus cavaties.
Took an antibiotic today and will try some benedryl. Will go to the Doctor tomorrow. ANY HELP??:( |
Donna, I can sympathize with you. About two years ago I was getting episodes of dizziness. Some like you explain where I would be lying in my bed in the morning and I would get up and I would feel very dizzy and I had to lay back until it passed. I mostly had incidents where I would just get out of my car and I felt very light headed and dizzy. Or while shopping in a store I get the feeling of being dizzy.
I waited awhile to see how many times it would happened. I finally went to my doctor and he said I was border line low blood pressure.. He made me lie down on the examing table and moved me all sorts of ways and when he did so I would get dizzy. This was in the summer time so the dr. had told me to drink lots of water to stay hydrated and to eat foods with salt, yep chips and stuff to bring my pressure up. I am better thank God I haven't had it in awhile.. You should check with the dr. to see what is causing it. I to suffer with allergies and sinus but lately knock wood I have been better. Good luck. |

That's a scary thing Donna. I feel for you. I had vertigo a few years ago. I had it for months at the same time I was really getting hot flashes. So if I wasn't dizzy, I was flashing. Making a left turn in the car was a little dangerous because the world would be spinning after. I was so annoyed because I was also on sabbatical, and wasn't going to let anything ruin it. I had trouble shopping because I couldn't look at things that required putting my head back. I finally found a great doctor who told me that sometimes, after sinusitis, little thingies (I forgot what they are) break loose. There are tiny hairs in the ear which control balance. If one of these thingies hits the hairs, it causes dizziness. He laid me on a table, made me go into the positions that made me dizzy, did something to my head, and it was gone! I was shocked that it was so easy to treat. I love that doctor! He's an otolaryngologist. |
Donna my son was getting dizzy about a month ago. He was also getting sick at his stomach. He passed out at school and they had him in a wheel chair when I picked him up. The doctor said he had fluid behind his ears from allergies. He had no pain in the ears but he said the fluid caused the dizziness and being off balance. He said the fluid put pressure on a nerve to the stomach that caused the nausea. He says all this was caused by allergies.

I had all those symptoms too last year and had to take 3 days off work, but mine was an inner ear infection. Hope your Dr. can help you so you'll feel better quickly.

Thanks, I feel that it is having to do with my allergies.

I hate the sinus infections; You need an antibiotic if you still have it.

I've seen where they are really pushing the 'nettie pot' now. Every since Dr. Oz showed it on Oprah last year and this year. They are now selling the pot and the solution to use. Said it was even suppose to help with allergies.

Donna, I'm so sorry that you're having trouble with being dizzy. I think going to the doctor is the best thing that you can do. Let us know what you find out.
