My Little Sideways May Be Leaving!

I someone coming here in a bit to check out our last little puppy. She is such a doll, so cute, so loving and we just love her, BUT we really don't need another one to keep right now.

I'm almost hoping they don't want her, or I won't like them. It's going to be a sad afternoon if she leaves. I'll keep you all informed.

Marilyn 05-31-2008 11:30 AM

Last puppy?? So you sold Trouble?? I must have missed something. I can't believe Sideways is the last one. She was my second favorite of the 4. If I could, I'd have snatched her up, but I have my hands full with two, and my next just may be a Biewer, IF I can find just the right one. I will be very picky about the next one.

Dobie 05-31-2008 11:36 AM

I'm not sure if I should say I hope they like her or I hope she stays! I didn't see a thread about trouble leaving.

Tink 05-31-2008 11:55 AM

Good luck Janet, I hope it turns out right for you.

I know what you mean about needing to sell her and yet not wanting to. I'm in a similar spot with Canada. I don't plan to breed her again because of her age. She will be spayed as soon as the pups leave. I really love her and the temptation is strong to just keep her, yet she's the type of dog who would love to be an ONLY dog... getting doted on and given ALL the attention, so she rebels and gets angry when the others get any. She's also the one who tears apart fences and lets the others out, and bulldozes her way through life. lol

Like you' I'll be sad when/if she leaves, but know it's the sensible thing for her and I.

Trouble went to her forever home on the 29th. She went to live in Macomb, Michigan with a retired single woman who wanted a companion. They were such a perfect fit.

Today, Sideways left to go to her new forever home. This lady and her husband are retired and they just love her. She called to say they made it home safe and that Sideways was checking things out. She said they may even leave her name Sideways, they don't know yet. I just keep thinking about her.

Look at all the people you have made happy again, those babies fill those empty gaps in people's lives like little angels.
Be proud in what you do Janet, i'm sure the little ones are perfectly happy!

Janet 06-01-2008 12:23 PM

Thank you Mandy. This litter may have taken longer to find homes for, but they found absolutely perfect homes. I can't ask for better.

Taurus Babe 06-01-2008 09:18 PM

Th pups and owners will be so happy, so I hope you're happy too... I bet it's so hard!

teri88 06-03-2008 06:01 AM

awww Janet, if ever I could get another dog I'd want one from you! It's not just a money making business for you, you truly love those pups! Sideways was so adorable, they are a very lucky couple to get her!

Teri, I do have to tell you that I make VERY LITTLE money from my puppies. Oh it sounds like it, but all the money goes right back into the dogs. Last month I spent almost $1000 to have all their teeth cleaned. It's never ending with care and supplies.

I breed mostly because I love this breed and it is wonderful when I find a truly great home and the people are so excited and loving.

I'll have to get rich doing something else, but doubt if I would enjoy it nearly as much. I really do love it although at times I do ask myself WTH?????LOLOLOL

I agree with Mandy, Janet you have made many of people happy... I couldn't say it any better than Mandy just did.. You rock !!!

Janet I am so glad Sideways found a good home. I think she was my favorite.

Janet 06-10-2008 05:19 PM

She was my favorite too Debbie, they changed her name to Sophie. At first they were going to keep it Sideways, but decided on a more feminine name.

scrapindee 08-03-2008 08:47 PM

I must spend 20 hours per dog trying to find the "right" home....congrats on finding the perfect for "sideways"--what a great name. When I get to the S's on the Biewers I will have to remember the name. Thanks.

Hi Dee! It's me Yorkie3 from YT. Didn't know if you knew that or not..lol.:) My son called her Sideways because she would get so excited to see us (even at 4-5 weeks) that when she came to us she would get so confused as to which end was suppose to lead :D and would end up coming to us sideways. After a couple weeks she got the hang of it ...lol

Just rec'd an email from you about the two you have left. I would still love to have a Biewer, but it will probably be a year or two yet. Yours are so beautiful!

Oh and so glad you've made it to 4WT. This is really and truly the greatest site with the best woman anywhere on the web. Honestly don't know what I'd do without them.

scrapindee 08-04-2008 05:25 PM

Hi Janet,

I have decided I need to have more women friends in my life. I had belonged to a group called "Gutsy Girls" but the leader has burned out--it was sort of a Red Hat Lady's group for intellectuals. Ha-ha.

I love the Biewers. What a wonderful breed--each litter has taught me something about litter behavior as well as small dog behavior--as well as individual personalities. I have also learned that 1 puppy can shred a paper pee pad into a thousand pieces as well as turn it into dust. When you are ready for a biewer, there will be one there for you I know it.

Hello scrapindee! It's nice to see you on 4wt. I have ALWAYS loved your adorable puppies!

If I remember correctly, you have an MSW, right? It will be nice to have another social worker's perspective here! :)

scrapindee 08-04-2008 06:35 PM

Yes, I do haved my MSW and also a degree in Health Psychology. Neither of which helped me from getting injured on the job, and feeling depressed for the last 5 years. That is why I want to make some new friends....

This is a great place for friends. There are some truly wonderful and supportive ladies here. :)

Janet 08-05-2008 07:58 AM

Well don't get discourage here, we are just not quite as active in the summer (although we've done pretty good this summer) as we are in the winter time. The women here are so wonderful and I just know you will love them as much as I do.

DianaB 08-05-2008 08:08 AM

Welcome Scrapindee!!! As the others have said we have a great group here and I know that you'll enjoy it. We're a lot smaller than YT so we get to know each other a lot better.

I'm so jealous! I would absolutely love to have a Biewer!!!! Did someone mention pictures because I would love to see them!

Again, Welcome to 4WT!!!!

Janet 08-05-2008 08:26 AM

Diana if you check her website (in her siggy) you'll be able to see all her beautiful Biewers. You'll love them.

DianaB 08-05-2008 09:29 AM

After I posted that I found her web-site and I did love them!!! I would love to have one and I think that my husband is finally going to let me get a little female, as soon as I find what I want but sadly, it won't be a biewer because of how much they cost. They certainly are adorable though!!!!!

Janet 08-05-2008 11:33 AM

Yorkies use to be a lot more expensive, so maybe in time Biewers will too, at least I hope so. I'll still be looking and wishing and saving...LOL
