Are you buying or renting?. We once lived in a place and when I looked out the back you could see nothing but mountains I loved it had to move on with hubbys job. |
I love the upstairs balcony and the views from outside balcony!!!!
|
I am going to be living on the deck! Can you imagine having your morning coffee out there?
I spent the morning on the phone with the mortgage broker, realtor, talking the mover down on price, etc. At this point, my moving date is July 27th, and the closing is July 25th. I'm so excited, but so nervous! I'm not stressed, just nervous. This is all so new to me. Here's the blurb from the real estate company: EXTRA SPACIOUS TOWNHOUSE This beautiful two bedroom townhouse is about the same size as many three bedroom townhomes, and all the living spaces are large, bright and gracious. The step-down living room with soaring, double-height ceiling leads to a huge private deck with mountain and woodland views. The eat-in kitchen with newer appliances (including just installed new range and microwave) is open to the living area and has an enclosed laundry closet with new washer and dryer. The gorgeous, hand-wrought railing on the second floor landing is replicated from a railing in a French abbey. Efficient monitor heating keeps all rooms at an even temperature. There's also a full but unfinished basement with exterior access. Pool and tennis court use are included, as is exterior maintenance (painting, roof repair/replacement, deck repair/replacement, landscaping, road maintenance, snow plowing). Year Built: 1984 Town: Roxbury Living Area: 1200 Bedrooms: 2 Baths: 1 1/2 Baths: 1 Living Room: 15 x 26 Kitchen: 12'6x16'6 Mstr Bedroom: 11 x 13 Bedroom 2: 11 x 13 : |
Beautiful, it has a lot of potential! Very spacious
I love the exposed beams in the ceiling and the iron work :) |

|
Wow that view is beautiful, but i love your new home Judy, the deck area is gorgeous, i can see you sitting there with a laptop, in the sun, or staring away into the mountains, with a glass of something nice ;)
You will love it there, good choice!!! |
Please can I book my holiday now please please:D
|
Yes, just give me a few days notice! You can all come to visit.
Soon, we have to talk about decorating. I think day 1, I'll just make up the bed, feed the animals and go to sleep. Day 2 - food shopping and cleaning person to give the cabinets, drawers, etc, a good scrub down. Day 3 - unpack the necessities and go swimming in the pool. |
Judy, your house is beautiful. I see you are from Brooklyn, NY. Where are you moving to? My husband is a ret. NYC Police officer out of Brooklyn. He retired out of the 62 pct. but worked the 71 and 78. Elaine
|
Great choice Judy!
Spacious and comfy at the same time. I hope you really enjoy it! |

He was on Bath Avenue - that's a busy place, but it seemed like a pretty good neighborhood. How were the 71 and 78? I have total respect for police officers! They put their lives on the line for us. Were you ever a Brooklyn girl, or always a Jersey girl? Gina and I are Brooklyn girls. I'm moving up to Roxbury, NY, which is close to Windham - It's so beautiful. |
Your new house looks very nice! Congrats!
|
:congrats: Judy, I am so happy for you.
|
Love it Judy, the view is amazing !!! I hope you love it there !!
|
I love it. I have been a Realtor for 25 years and I know how stressful it can be for a buyer, but please relax, it will all work out fine. Good Luck

The closing will be when it will be, and I decided that everything does not have to be perfectly done! In other words, screw it! I'll get there soon, and hopefully with all my stuff. |
So you're not sure when you get to move in yet? That's okay...it would be fun thinking about it and how you would arrange everything. I think it would be so great moving.....but to a much bigger place than what I have....LOL.

"Easy for me to say?" I am a control freak and want to make sure everyone knows what they are doing. You might have this personality, hope not, it is stressful. Things will work out, can't wait for you to close and get in that house and on the deck. |

I'm having the appraisal done Tuesday or Thursday (a "T" day) and as soon as that's written up, and the signed contract is sent to my mortgage broker, the bank can sign off on the mortgage. All the paper work for the mortgage has already been done. I don't know if anything else has to be done, but I went to the beach yesterday with a friend and had a lovely day. |
New house pictures
Good for you," relaxing", it is out of your control now.

It took me years to get to be this way Angie! I love your hair in the picture. |

These were some of the many Brooklyn rules during the baby boomer days. Don't blame me - I didn't make them up! |
Gee, I love reading about these Jersey, Brooklyn, Jewish, Italian rules!!! Sounds like a TV show..so tell more!

I will tell you more Brooklyn stories. Gina - you have to help me out here. One thing I will tell you - we had the absolute best egg creams in the entire universe! Our pizza was also amazing. Brooklyn food was so good. We would cut out of school early when it got warm, and take the train to Coney Island. We would go to Nathan's and have hot dogs and their fries, which have never been duplicated! They also had chow mein sandwiches, which consisted of chow mein and noodles on a hamburger bun. Disgusting isn't it? But - so good. |

Thanks for the compliment! I dressed up and took pics for Brendon as part of his anniversary gift. He really enjoyed it. |
