How Fast Can You Type?
 

Here's a speed typing test. How fast and accurate are you? I tried several times and typed 54 words a minute with no mistakes.

Thanks for that Diana. I typed 54 words with 1 mistake. When I took typing in high school I was only good for 30 wpm. That was great.

My daughter is the one to show me this site. They use it at school to check their typing skills. I thought that some of us might find it interesting!!

I had my 17 year old daughter sit down and take it she blew me out of the water of course. They don't do typing in school anymore it's call keyboarding.
I'm sure I'll visit back often to take the test again.

63 words with 2 wrong. I really have to concentrate though to keep from making errors, because in normal everyday typing I make lots of mistakes because they are so easy to correct. I remember when I was typing with a typewriter, I rarely made mistakes, now I make them all the time. :confused:

use to be abel to type 50-60 words a min. but i mostly deal with numbers now, so i kick butt on an adding machine :)

I flunked typing in HS, even with a cousin as my teacher, hated it. I WAS going to be a nurse - but got married, had kids - now I can type up a blind storm and still hate it.

Speaking of HS - my 40 year class reunion is next month. My school is so small that they have several classes at the same time. This one is for 1929, 1939, 1949, 1959, 1969, 1979, 1989, and 1999. It's a hoot! The entertainment is watching basketball games. I went to my 20y and actually played in the game for my age group. Fell flat on my butt a couple times!

My Mom graduated 20 years before me (1949), so her reunion is always with mine. I'll miss having her there - IF I GO. My Mom was so much fun! There's also a couple of uncles who should be there, one from 1949 and one from 1959.

Wow!!!!!! And I thought that I was pretty good with my score!!!!

We used to have some small schools in some really small communities near here and they do class reunions like you do. I think that it would be really interesting to have the different years there. They no longer have school there but still have the reunions.

I just think I'll be sad to see everybody getting older and we've lost a few along the way. James Harold died from cancer. Roger Dale has brain damage from a motorcycle accident. Bela Faye's husband killed her. A pregnant Patti Ruth and another child were killed in a car accident. Mary Ann had a nervous breakdown and is skitzo (bad spelling).

There were only 27 in my graduating class IF you could Chuck who died in a car accident a couple weeks before graduation and Gwen who got pregnant and was not allowed back to school or to walk at graduation.

I typed 56 words per minute, but I had 4 wrong words - so I'm fast but sloppy.

This is what I did. I loved typing class and loved my teacher, she was soo sweet. I make more mistakes now just typing, but I think it's because I'm thinking up the words instead of reading them.

Have not taken the test yet. In Bus. College I typed over 100 words a min. Don't know if I can do 40 with carpal tunnel but will try.

I did 44 no mistakes.

I did 72 with one dumb mistake......

dumb.....????? I can to 20000 with no mistakes....LOLOL
