Remember how exciting it is to get your drivers license? Sweet freedom, lol!!! You shouldn't feel older..just grown up;)

DianaB 03-25-2009 08:21 AM

Do I need to worry about that here in Kansas? LOL

AngieDoogles 03-25-2009 02:31 PM

Who knows where he'll end up Diana! Better be safe and just stay of the roads just in case. :p

You think you feel old!!!! I must be ancient!!!

I don't know if I am glad I don't have to drive him and his friends around anymore or worried about him driving on his own.

It is scary Debbie. I remember being on the beach the first day Jessie took her car out alone, praying for her protection.

Driving is freedom though. I hope he enjoys it, and stays safe.

I remember how nervous you were Mandy! I would be nervous if I had a 16 year old with a license too...

Jaci's been driving since she was 14 (and actually a year or two before that on the farm) and now she's 16 and has a regular license. She absolutely drives everywhere. I can't imagine what we did before she started driving. Last year we bought her a Toyota pickup. It's really a cute pickup and the boys just think that she's great for having it! I don't worry about her driving but I do worry about her hitting a deer because she drives a lot between our house and Nate's. She's had some close calls.

Congrats!

:(

Well, my brother got in a car wreck last night and might have totaled his car. He and my mom are both really upset. Luckily, he wasn't hurt other than some pain in his knee.

Oh Angie, I"m so sorry to hear this. My daughter got rear-ended after she'd had her license only a few weeks. It wasn't her fault and her car was not hurt, thankfully!

It is very upsetting for this to happen!!!

Oh no!!! That's too bad. I guess that you had good reason to be worried. I hope that his knee isn't too bad.

Blueyes 03-30-2009 11:11 AM

Oh No!! I'm glad he wasn't seriously injured. I'll bet his insurance goes sky high:eek:

pope1982 03-30-2009 01:28 PM

 That really sucks. Poor kid, he must not only be scared to death but so embarrassed :(

judy 03-30-2009 03:30 PM

Awww! Poor guy! He must feel terrible about this. Thank goodness he wasn't badly hurt though.

AngieDoogles 03-31-2009 01:49 PM

Well, his car is totaled and he has tons of fines and fees including the tow truck all the way back home (an hour) and the parking fees until Mom could get everything arranged to pick it up. He's feeling pretty bad about the whole thing and Mom is really stressed about the money, but luckily he isn't hurt.
