Jaci won!!!! She's the 62nd Queen of the Homecoming Pageant!!!! Her program was really good!! I'll try to get it posted somewhere so you can see it! She said that when the judges did her interview that she had them laughing. She has that kind of personality! I think that's what helped her to win!!

Here's a few pictures that Amy took that I snatched from Facebook! In the second picture Jaci is with the girl that was Miss Kansas 2006. She talked to Jaci about going out for Miss Teen Kansas because she was so good.

I so wish that all of you could have been there!! When they called out her number (they did that instead of names) she said that she wasn't expecting her to be the winner at all!! The look on her face was priceless!! She would have really been happy no matter who the winner was.

Today is special because the Queen gets to wear her crown at school!!! And then, of course, she'll get to wear it on Homecoming day!! She also won a basket of gifts from the community and in it was a gift certificate to have her picture taken with the robe and flowers!! It's just all been so cool and couldn't happen to a more wonderful girl. I know, I'm her Mom but Jaci has such a wonderful personality that you can't help but love her.

Miss Kansas of 2006 told Jaci that she really needs to try out for Miss Teen Kansas. She told Jaci that she really lights up in front of a crowd and that's what they look for. She really encouraged her to go on and try some other contests. I'm glad that Jaci heard that from someone else because we've told her that for years. When she gets on a stage, especially to do her human videos, she is just in her element!! Jaci was excited about what she had to say!!

Oh Diana! What a fun evening for all of you! I'm so happy for you. I think this makes up for the yucky things that happened to Jaci in v-ball. She's the QUEEN now!!! What fun, for her senior year. She'll always remember this and so will you! :bravo::cheer::congrats:

Thanks everyone!! Tomorrow is Homecoming so Jaci will get to ride on the top of the Queen's float with the other girls beneath her!! She'll get a lot of attention from the community!! It will be a fun day for her!! Of course, as her parents we'll get a lot of "Congratulations" so we can tell others how proud we are of her.

Once you get to know Jaci you find out that she's not only pretty on the outside but she is on the inside too. And, yes, Gayle, I feel like this has made up for all the bad things that's happened to her.

It will certainly be a full day tomorrow!!! I'm trying to get things cleaned up because I know that family will end up out here sometime tomorrow to rest. Glen has a class reunion tomorrow evening. It's going to be outside and I hope that it's not too chilly. I've felt cold all day today.

Diana you should know better!!! We never get tired of pictures or hearing about each others kids, grandkids...etc. Jaci looks just beautiful sitting on the float with all her attendants. I'm so glad she won and now has all the memories.
