My weed
3 Attachment(s)
Gary and Brooke kept telling me this was a weed that came up in my garden. I just knew it wasn't. Here's what my "weed" looked like when we got home from Houston today.

OMG, I love sunflowers!! So glad your weed turned out so pretty. I have wanted to buy some dwarf sunflowers for years but just havn't done it.
What a pretty sunflower! They sure make you feel like summer is here.
Summer IS HERE IN TEXAS! It was 97 today. It's not supposed to be nearly as hot the rest of the week though, thank goodness!
What a beautiful sunflower! My parents have planted them in their garden at home for a few years :) I love them!
Gorgeous! We had a stick growing in our back yard at a new house once. Turned out to be a Tulip tree, lol! LOVE sunflowers!
Oh Betsi! I would love to have a tulip tree! How beautiful!

Oh OH! At our other house we had a tree that dripped sap on our cars too - but it got old and we had it cut down. Someone told me it's not tree sap but aphid droppings that gets on the car. If you can control the aphids, no more sap. I don't know how to control aphids on a tree!

My back and front yard are dead but I'm going to buy those block grass so I can start gardening. Hopefully I will have a beautiful flowers like that sunflower. :D
I have to admit that I am afraid of sunflowers! They are so tall, and I always expect them to bite me.
What a beautiful weed!!! I'm so glad that you didn't get rid of it!!! Kansas is the sunflower state but it's not based on the large ones like that. We have loads of the smaller wild kind that are all along the road ways in the summer......they're so pretty even if they are truly weeds!!!
Beautiful sunflower!! I could use a weed or two like that in my yard.:)
