The ball has dropped
 

It's officially 2007.
We had Joel, our 20 yr old home with us tonight. He invited a friend of his and his friends girl friend over to play cards. It was peaceful.
As the tequilla started to work, we got hungry, so I made a pot of chilli.
At the stroke of midnight Joels EX and the guy Katie is sharing a house with walked in. The roads are awful, yet they decided to drop in. We hadn't met Joe, Katies housemate before, so it's good to finally see him.

It seems we're going to have a rather full house by morning, as I told them anyone who had been drinking wasn't going to leave. They all arrived under the influence. It's a good thing we shampooed the carpets today! ;)
