Have you ever had a problem with bill collectors? You pay the bill but they say you didn't?

I was a secretary for my dad for a couple years and that was a problem I'd run into, luckily I don't have to deal with paying for bills yet. But I found this picture and couldn't stop laughing.

Wouldn't everyone want to do something like this? (please excuse the language)

If a check like that was presented at our bank, it would be rejected. We are to go by the written dollar amount, which in this case, isn't clearly defined. We aren't paid to do complex math... LOL
