Urgent question for rivermom hope you don't mind
you were the only person I could think of to ask. I just passed by a house with horses. One was lying on its side, head flat on the ground. As far as I know (all TV knowlegde..I know very little about horses), horses don't noramlly lay like this. It looked odd so I stopped & knocked on the door to check that everything was ok. No one is home. I have seen these people with there horses & know they care for them. first ...am I wrong in thinking the horse lying like this is bad? & 2nd if so, do you know who I should contact so the owner can be notified or the horse can be checked on?
I checked to make sure it was breathing.. it is but not moving...sorry if I'm just being crazy but it worried me. |
That sounds really bad. Anyone else who knows an answer I would love to have input from as well. I just knew the Sheryl would know.

You welcome girl, i just wish Sheryl would answer LOL |
The horse is fine, it's just asleep or resting. You just have to worry if it looks uncomfortable & is biting at it's belly. a lot of times they will lay this way before a rain.
