These little guys and gals are so cute. They are really starting to play now and are just so funny to watch. I just had to share these group pictures. I took these pictures yesterday so that made them 3 weeks and 3 days old.

Ohhhhhhhh how cute!
Janet, you're going to add a lot of joy to some very lucky families. |
Thanks all!! :) I just think they are adorable! It will be hard to let them go, but I have quite a bit of time yet and I always try to remember how excited I was when I got mine. That helps.

They are just adorable!!! You can post as many pictures of them as you want as far as I'm concerned! You're going to be very busy keeping track of the 4 of them!!

I just got a call from someone interested in one of the puppies. She wanted one at six weeks....when I told her I don't let them go until they are 12 weeks, sometimes a week or two earlier if they are truly ready and she said she would rather have a 'puppy', not one that old. Can you believe that? 12 weeks isn't OLD....
|
Janet, I think you might have just dealt with someone who has gotten a pup that wasn't properly socialized and so on. If I knew they'd be worked with until 12 weeks, I'd be fine with it... if I had any doubt about the kind of training or attention they'd be getting I'd want to get one earlier too.
A lot of damage can be done to a pup that's not handled correctly in the early stages. For the same reason you keep them, others might want to take them! My poodle wasn't worked with and it really caused some delays once I got him. It's a lot tougher when you're starting by UNtraining before you can properly train. Knowing you, I'd have no concerns about your handling of a pup. Sadly, not everyone IS so consciencious! |
Oh I do understand. I always wanted other dogs around 6-8 weeks, but they were larger breeds. I do work really hard with my puppies. It is so time consuming. Before mine leave my home, they are eating on their own really good, have been socialized to the other dogs, even our Golden, socialized with us and lots of other people. They are almost pad trained, at least here they go on the pad 9 times out of 10. They are still so little at 10-12 weeks.
Now if someone didn't do what I do (not that my way is perfect by any means) then yes, I would want one sooner too. I guess as with anything....different strokes for different folks....LOL |
Oh, Janet, they are precious. You will have no problem finding good homes for them as beautiful and healthy as they are.
