My photography career....success!

I'm on cloud 9 right now! :coolsmiley:

I don't know how many of you know this already, but I am a full-time wedding & portrait photographer.

Yesterday evening, I had a bridal shoot with my biggest client of my career thus far. (They bought my $5K+ package!) I was so nervous. I mean, super-super nervous. I almost posted on here yesterday about how nervous I was.....but I was too nervous! lol

It turns out that I produced some of the best work of my career yesterday! In fact, the bride, her parents, two cousins, and an aunt came in this afternoon to choose which to order as her canvas portrait to put up at the wedding....and they loved my work so much that they were all in tears b/c they were so emotional about the 'perfect' pictures of Shelly (the bride).

The attached photo is the one they ordered as a 24x36 canvas.

The rest of the photos from her shoot can be seen HERE (the password is "murphy"...they had to password protect so the groom wouldn't sneak a peak!)

You took some really great pictures of her! I love the one that they picked out to put on canvas!! Good job!!!!

Thank you so much, Diana!

I've been doing this professionally for just over a year now, and I know I'm in the perfect career for me. I'm still learning, though.

This was one of those shoots for me where I have to do a double-take at the screen and say...."did I take that? Wow!" At my studio, we call it the "post-shoot buzz".

Val, you do such beautiful work, as usual! :D

What a breathtaking picture. You are very talented! Congratulations on your success.

Thank you so much! :D :) :p Were you able to see other pictures from that shoot?

Val, I could see them all, and they are very, very beautiful. You do incredible work!!! So wonderful to have a profession that you are passionate about!!!

wow..you did GREAT. I got married in Nov and had a horrible photographer. I was sooooooooooooo upset. I wish I had done more research but my hubby's aunt was our planner and since we were doing it out of state where she lives and works, i trusted her judgement. The wedding was amazing and she did GREAT but the photographer left a LOT to be desired.

I am so glad they were happy with your work. Wedding photo's would be the most nerve racking pictures to take, cuz it is one day you cannot "do over". Congrats on the success, you have done GREAT!!

Aww, I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with your wedding photographer Toodles. I know it's not the same, but maybe you could have a friend do some 6 month anniversary shots for you. Sometimes an "amateur" can do better than a "professional." Trust me, I know from experience. Then at least you would have some cute together pictures. :)

Thank you, Larissa! Oh I definitely travel! :) In January, I even did a wedding up in Knoxville, TN. Actually, that wedding album design is still online if you want to take a look! :) Here it is: "Austin & Janelle"
