People often look down upon the US for being the heaviest nation. However, I would MUCH rather be heavy than look like any of these girls. :(

Oh my!!! I really have to wonder who finds this attractive? This is so not healthy and I can't imagine how being this thin would feel? These ladies look so fragile as if they could break at any moment. :( Bless there hearts, I hope they are not forced to be this thin.

girl where did you get these pics? looks like an anorexic convention or something. when i first started looking i thought somebody's on coke but after i scrolled down i thought what would happen if one of those girls fell down in those heels...that would have to break some bones...jeez luise:( :( :(

Someone email these pics to me this morning. I thought they were so eye-opening that I would share.

Your right.... Those are very disturbing pics. You can't possibly eat anything to stay that skinny.

Janet 09-12-2006 01:11 PM

Those ladies look so bad!!! I wonder what sick person is feeding their ego by telling them they should look like that? So sad what we do with our bodies. :( I hate being so heavy, but never what that look.

Gotta LOVE photoshop. These pictures have been doctored. True, in the fashion world, they like them thin but not this thin.

yea I can tell they are so photoshopped.. but in reality that is really disturbing..

Sherry Lynn 09-12-2006 05:10 PM

The pictures are too small and my eyes are too bad to be able to tell about the photoshopping....

All I could think was where are their Moms and why aren't they making sure these girls get help? If I knew anyone that thin, I'd hog-tie them if I had to and get them some help!

I recently saw a picture of Nicole Richey in a swimsuit, and let me tell you, she didn't look much better!

I'm glad you mentioned that they were photoshopped,I was looking at those photos in shock. I went back & checked them again & their faces are clearly to full looking too be real.

I recognize some of the models in those pics and those aren't their bodies. But the pictures bring up a very real issue that young girls face in this country. Everyone is so weight conscious that young girls feel like they need to starve themselves to be beautiful. This summer my 12 year old stepdaughter from Florida stayed with her dad and I. She is a beautiful girl and already at 12 years of age she has a very curvacious body. I call her mini J-Lo because she has that Jennifer Lopez booty.;) My husband would tease her that if she kept eating the way she does, she is going to blow up. I warned him not to do that because she is very conscious of her body image and an innocent comment like that can cause her to stop eating. It is so sad to see girls like Nicole Ritchie wither down to skeletons. The worst part is no one helps these girls, in fact our society encourages it. It makes me so mad.

Looks like these pics were from a fashion show in Madrid. Check out this link:
