How to Figure Car Repair Costs

I don't know if any of you read the Reader's Digest but this was in this month's magazine. I thought that it was really cute and certainly understands how we women think when it comes to our cars. My Tahoe was making sounds the other day and I told my husband that it sounded like a rock in the hubcap. A real bad rattle, of course, he couldn't hear it (and it did quit but I'm sure that it will be back). I know that one day soon he's going to hear it and say "How long's it been making that noise? You can't drive it until I can get it fixed." Men!!!!! Anyway......Enjoy!!!!

CAR TALK

For all those who know there's something wrong with their car, but have no clue what the problem is or how much it'll cost to fix, here's a chart from my mechanic's garage, along with prices:

Ping, Click, Ping..........$10
Click, Whir, Click.........$30
Clunk, Whir, Lunk.......$50
Thud, Clunk, Thud......$100
Clang, Thud, Clang.. ..$200
I Can't Describe It......$500

Hmmmm........They don't list a sound like a rock in a hubcap. Wonder what that costs!!!!

BTW--My hubcaps aren't solid. They have large holes where rocks can fall out.
